We are all pawns, victims and slaves to system of things that tell us what to believe and what to think. Most blindly – and unthinkingly – go along with the flow of things unable to explain why they do?
This system of things is always in contention with the Creator in what He teaches and has had taught (and still being taught) through His Son.
Back in the Book of Genesis, the man Adam – after he took and ate some of the fruit the Serpent have his wife – and they both believed themselves to be naked. (Genesis 3:8-13).
Yet, God said to His creation (Adam):
Who told you that you were naked?
In other words, God was explaining to Adam, “Where did this knowledge that you were naked come from? It did not come from me? I never told you that you were naked? I created you in the way you are now? So who told you that you were naked?
That discussion between God and Adam has much application in the world today. How so?
Well, there are billions of persons who believe things God never told them to believe. Sadly, many of those persons are persons who claim that they believe in God and His Son. Yet, they have been sucked into following the teachings and traditions of the world and have been themselves the creators and defenders of many of those teachings and traditions.
Yesterday, the world at large celebrated what it calls New Years. There is no need for me to explain to any of you reading this what the New Years celebration is.
Yet, the question one could ask (and I ask it) is: Who told us that it is a New Year? Did God?
The Calendar the world uses today to reckon days, weeks and years is the Gregorian Calendar. It was named after the man who first introduced it in February 1582: Pope Gregory XIII.
It is not even the oldest calendar in existence. The oldest calendar – as claimed by the Europeans – dates back as far a 10000 years ago in Scotland. I do not by into the idea that the oldest calendar is out of Scotland because it smells fishy: Everything has to be European-based. And, I question why?
The calendar the world blindly adopts today – The Gregorian Calendar – is only 432 years. This is a European-based calendar! What about the calendars of the non-European peoples? What about the ancient Chinese calendar, for example? It is much older than the European Gregorian Calendar. In fact, the Chinese calendar does not recognize January 1st as the beginning of a new year? So …
Who told you that it is a new year?
So blind many have become that they have false predicted the end of the world based on the Gregorian Calendar as to have occurred on December 21, 2012. It did not happen. Why? Because one cannot squeeze God’s time table into a man-made system of time-reckoning.
As a former Jehovah’s Witness, I know that the pivotal date of 1914 (which is an important date to Jehovah’s Witnesses) is a date they teach that Christ returned invisibly as King over the earth is false. Why? For two reasons:
- Jesus said that such knowledge is not knowable to men, angels or even himself. Only the Father knows such things and that we should not be concerned about trying to ascertain and establish dates. He also said at, “YOU do not know when your Lord is coming.” (See Matthew 24:36; Matthew 24:42, and Acts 1:7)
- A date such as 1914 would be by the reckoning of the Gregorian Calendar. Who told men to base such a date (though false) upon this calendar. I maintain that one cannot pull God down to our petty level and fit Him into our reckoning of time.
It is for these two reasons that ANY and EVERY predictions with dates on them made by persons in and out of religion will not occur as they say they will. People have been suckered into using, believing in, and relying on a system of time-keeping that is not from God, it is from men.
So, is it really a new year? And, if it is, “Who told you that it is?”
Answer: The man of European descent.
As I stated earlier in this article, that it was Pope Gregory XIII in 1582 who introduced to the world his calendar and the world today simply adopted it. Does anyone really think God views January 1st as a “new year?”
If all of the world adopts these types of creations and “traditions of men” it will forever be misled and deceived.
Do you – a person who claims to believe in God and Christ – get carried along with the flow of things and do as the rest of the world does on this day called New Years? Even if you do not, do you believe it a new year as the rest of the world does? Do you make “new years resolutions?” Why would you do that?
Do you view the other days – that are based on the Gregorian Calendar – such as December 25 (Christmas) and Easter and the others as “Christian” holidays? If you do? Why? These days and the dates associated with them are based off of a man-made system of time-reckoning. So based on that alone, how can they be true?
Those who believe that Saturday is the seventh day of the week (Seventh Day Adventist) and that no work is to be done on this day, who told you that? Saturday is a Pope Gregory XIII creation. God never told you that Saturday is day seven. Men are telling you that.
Men Follow Men Pretending To Follow God
Jesus said at Matthew 15:14:
If the blind lead the blind, both will fall into a pit.
This is a going along with the flow. These are people doing and believing things because others believe them and do them. (For example, I know hundreds of people who celebrate Christmas on December 25 but do not have a clue about Christs teachings and whose lifestyle is a far removed from the example Christ set, yet when you ask them “Why the celebrate it” they give blind answers such as, “It is Jesus birthday” or “My family has always celebrated it.” These are not answers. Yet, they really do not know why do it. They do it because everyone else does. “The blind leading the blind.”)
If we do not rise above the thick clouds of deception we are bathed in and think and ask questions such as: “Who told me it is a New Year?” we will remain in that cloud of deception and never rise above it to see our way clear and know the truth.
The religious system called by men, Christianity (and indeed all religious organization), will ensure that billions remain in that thick cloud of deception so that asking such questions will never enter into your mind. And, if they do enter into your mind, it will punish you for having such questions and perhaps cast you out from among them.
Think: All that you think and believe, is it based on what God has told you (through His Son) or what men have told you? The Gregorian Calendar which is the adopted standard for the reckoning of days, weeks, and years today is from men and it is telling you that certain dates have significance.
Yet, did God tell you that?
