Should Women Be Ordained Preachers, Pastors, Elders?
This is an interesting topic.
I created a video below giving my perspective on this.
What all true followers “should” be asking rather than should women preach, be ordained Elders/Pastors is this:
“Should a man be Christ’s head or should Christ be our Head?” (1 Cor 11:3)
Our Lord recognizes who is his Head. A man should recognize who his Head is also. Likewise, in that arrangement (1 Cor 11:3), women should respect the arrangement that God has set forth.
This is not to say that men are to “Lord” over women. Far from it. Did Christ “Lord” over men or women in a harsh or superior way? No! He was kind, humble, and compassionate. So should men as Head.
We must seriously consider from what source things such as “being ordained” comes from. It spings from a world that Jesus said that his kingdom is “not of THIS world.” (John 18:36)
No one (men or women) should aspire to be “Head” over people. They should reject the man-made titles of “THIS world” such as Elder, Pastor, or Preacher. We already have a Shepherd (Pastor), Lord (Master), and Teacher: Christ Jesus.
Neither should any man or woman aspire to have “their own” church. Christ already has a house, his house. He is the Master of his household. Why would someone want another “house” their own house in that regard?
No man or woman “paid the price” with their blood so that no one will perish in the last day other than Christ himself. He alone is “owner” of mankind. He paid the price for our ownership. Thus, no man or woman can possibly say or believe that they “have a church” and is a Pastor or Elder over it. Christ taught none of this. This is the poisonous thinking that comes out of a world that Jesus said his kingdom is no part of.
ANY person – regardless of gender – who are taught by Christ are persons he “commanded” go out and make disciples to him. To teach those persons what he taught us. (Matthew 28:19-20)
It is a dangerous thing to breathe Satan’s air with talk of anyone being “ordained” to preach or to be Pastors, Elders, etc. Christ taught none of that.
No one of importance. A disciple (student) of Christ apart from the established religious systems who reasons, thinks and concludes matters for myself. Something is not right with the state of religion in the world. The real dichotomy is that we live in a world so full of religion, yet is an evil, immoral, and dangerous place to live. A mental and spiritual separation from this world that Jesus said his kingdom is no part of is the first step to a "break-through" to freedom and entry into a much larger spiritual world where God and Christ resides and the wisdom, knowledge, and understanding of God can be accessed.
