Blessed Are The Pure In Heart, For They Will See God

Now when Jesus saw the crowds, he went up on a mountainside and sat down. His disciples came to him, and he began to teach them.(Matthew 5:1-2)

Jesus teaches the crowds at Matthew 5:8, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.”

When I lived and worked in Thailand, the Thai people – who are Buddhists – frequently used the expression, “You have a good heart.” What they meant by this was that the person to whom they were referring was unpretentious, not liars, kind, merciful, generous, respectful, sharing, not requiring something in exchange, compassionate, and understanding.

A pure heart is a good heart, not an evil one.

Those who cultivate a pure heart will find God closer to them. The closer one is to God the more and grander they will be blessed by Him.

The god of the world – Satan the Devil – has fashioned those in his world to be non-pure of heart. Thus, those persons are kept at a distance from God. (2 Cor 4:4)

Jesus teaches that if we develop a pure heart, we will be blessed by God to the point of recognizing (seeing) He is close to us. We will feel His presence and be reassured. Confident.

It will involve remaining in Christ’s teaching and continuing to be taught by him from the heavenly (spiritual) realm. By remaining in Christ’s teaching, we come to know the world for what it is and what the world and its god’s mission with regards to those of us who desire to remain attached to Christ and his teaching.

The world and its god seek to wrench us away – by any means necessary – away from the one The Most High God sent to us and to teach us, Christ Jesus.

No one of importance. A disciple (student) of Christ apart from the established religious systems who reasons, thinks and concludes matters for myself. Something is not right with the state of religion in the world. The real dichotomy is that we live in a world so full of religion, yet is an evil, immoral, and dangerous place to live. A mental and spiritual separation from this world that Jesus said his kingdom is no part of is the first step to a "break-through" to freedom and entry into a much larger spiritual world where God and Christ resides and the wisdom, knowledge, and understanding of God can be accessed.
