Who Is Antichrist According To The Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society? Are They Correct?

As a former twenty-year-plus baptized – and faithful (to the organization) Jehovah’s Witness, I am more than qualified to answer this question.

The Reasoning Book As A Source

While I know what the Watch Tower Organization teaches on the subject, I feel that the best approach is to use one of their widely known and used publications entitled “Reasoning From The Scriptures” published in 2009, to provide the basis for argumentation.

On pages 32-33, we find the Watch Tower organization teaching about the antichrist; at the top of that page, they define Antichrist as:

Antichrist means against or instead of Christ. The term applies to all who deny what the Bible says about Jesus Christ, all who oppose his Kingdom, and all who mistreat his followers. It also includes individuals, organizations, and nations that falsely claim to represent Christ or that improperly ascribe to themselves the role of Messiah.

Their definition has some serious flaws in it that are not apparent to the untrained eye.

The part where it says the expression Antichrist “applies to all who deny what THE BIBLE says about Jesus Christ.” Well, the Bible itself is NOT “the authority” concerning what is true or false. The Bible is a book that men compiled from 66 smaller books; that men authorized; that men canonized; that men made Holy; that men gave the name “The Bible” to; and that men call The Word of God.

The fact of the matter is that God, through His Christ, is the authority; as Christ is His Spokesman and only one authorized to speak on His behalf and the only one “who is The Truth” and who is “The Word of God.” (John 14:6; Revelation 19:13)

So it is what this one (The Christ) – and the ones he hand-picked, chose and taught – his Apostles – says about the subject of Antichrist, not a book called The Bible.

Yes, the Bible contains some of the teachings of The Christ and the things he had taught his Apostles. The book itself – as a whole – does not qualify as “The Word of God” as everything spoken in it is not God’s words. Satan the Devil is quoted in it; demons are quoted in it; many persons other than the Prophets of old are quoted in it. So, our focus should not be on what “the Bible says,” but rather, on what God and His Christ says.

So when the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society (WTBTS) – or anyone else, for that matter – makes the assumption (for everyone else) that a book that men compiled and named, is The Word of God, they speak of things nowhere written. It is written, however, that the ONLY “Word of God” is Jesus [the] Christ and The Most High God says that we are to listen to him – the person, and not a book or any angelic or human agency. (Revelation 19:13; Luke 9:35)

Therefore, when the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society (or any religious organization) in its definition of Antichrist as it is stated in The Reasoning book, “all who deny what the Bible says about Jesus Christ” should be stating that what Jehovah God, His Christ and what his disciples teach “about Jesus Christ.”

Men have had a hand in this book called the Bible. That they (men) have arrogantly assigned to a book statuses of authorized, holy, and The Word of God oversteps a boundary. Did God authorize it? Did God say it is holy? Did God give it a name? Did God say it is “The Word of God?” No! Men did all of these things. The Most High God has told us who He has authorized to speak on His behalf: His Son.

What the Watch Tower and other organizations do is sell the idea that The Bible is The Word of God and use it as a basis for what one is to believe. This is a very dangerous and deceptive thing. Why? Because it subtly inserts “a book” instead of “the person” of Jesus [the] Christ INSTEAD.

In its definition of Antichrist, the WTBTS says that “Antichrist means against or instead of Christ,” well the insertion of a book as “The Word of God” and as the basis upon which one is to measure what is to be believed is Antichrist. It also amounts to a form of idolatry.

The selling of the idea that “The Bible” is The Word of God” and “yardstick” upon which one is to measure all things spoken and written is the first step in the greatest deception being perpetrated upon the human family. It places a book – paper – before “a person,” Jesus [the] Christ, or it attempts to make this book equal to him. It was the Son of God who was sent along before this book surfaced. We should listen to “the person.”

The WTBTS – as well as all so-called Christian organizations – are the ones “speaking.” And, they are speaking out of place. They are the ones doing the telling and defining. Thus, in its definition of “Antichrist,” the WTBTS gives its own definition. That definition is cleverly crafted to remove any light cast upon that organization that, it too, is Antichrist.

The Watch Tower definition of Antichrist is implying that it – as an organization – does not deny Jesus Christ. While the Watch Tower organization makes the claim that it is in sync with Jehovah and Christ and is God’s only chosen earthly vessel and earthly organization, I give one of many examples that show that this organization is “against” or “anti-christ” like so many others. The example I will use is a most outstanding one that all Jehovahs Witnesses and any associated with the Watch Tower organization can appreciate.

A Date In “Anti” Against Christ

Every Jehovahs Witness knows what the year 1914 means. They are taught that this is the year that Jesus returned (turned his attention to the earth) and was installed as earth’s king in heaven. They also know – as a result of Watch Tower teaching – that the year 1914 is the year that “The Appointed Times of the Nations” ended. Meaning that this year signified the beginning of the end. Jehovah’s Witnesses are taught and believe that the year 1914 began a time period called the Lord’s Day; a 1000 year period over the earth where Jesus now reigns as King.

So, the year 1914 is a pivotal date for Jehovah’s Witnesses because a great deal of what they teach – and dispense worldwide by way of their many publications and talks – hinge upon this date being accurate and true.

But we have a problem; and, this problem is related to two “anti” or “opposing” teachings: Something Jesus taught and something the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society teaches. If a human, human agency, or angelic creature teaches something different or “in opposition” to what The Christ taught, what should one reasonably conclude about them? That they are “anti” or “against” what Christ taught. So, what are the two opposing teachings that show that The Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society is an antichrist?

The answer is the 1914 teachings itself. The Watch Tower, as stated earlier, teaches that this is the year that our Lord and Master returned and was coronated as earths’ king. The Watch Tower organization claims to “know” this. They use things spoken by the Prophet Daniel to derive the 1914 date. (Many individual JWs would be hard pressed to explain, from Scripture, how this date was derived. Many JWs are not aware that this date did not originate with the WTBTS. Read about it here). Yet, we have something Jesus [the] Christ says. At Matthew 24:36 Jesus says:

Concerning that day and hour nobody knows, neither the angels of the heavens nor the Son, but only the Father.

Our Lord and Master also says at Matthew 24:42:

Keep on the watch, therefore, because YOU do not know on what day YOUR Lord is coming.

The Son of God says at Acts 1:7:

He said to them: “It does not belong to YOU to get knowledge of the times or seasons which the Father has placed in his own jurisdiction.”

These three Scriptures show that Watch Tower teaching is in opposition to or anti Christs’ teaching. How so?

First, Matthew 24:36 tells us that concerning “that day” (his return and installation as earth’s king and the start of his 1000 year kingdom), is only known by his Father. That even angels do not have such knowledge and neither did he! But we have an organization (WTBTS) claiming to know something that Jesus said that even he himself did not know and not knowable to angel or human.

Secondly, Matthew 24:42 confirms what Jesus said at Matthew 24:36, “YOU do not know on what day YOUR Lord is coming.” But the Watch Tower says it does know and widely published it as November 1914.

Thirdly, at Acts 1:7, Jesus [the] Christ, The Word of God, says “It does not belong to YOU to get knowledge of the times or seasons which the Father has placed in his own jurisdiction.” Like the previous Scriptures mentioned, Jesus is telling us who is the only One who possesses such knowledge: The Father.

So here we have an organization confidently saying and teaching something completely opposite of what Jesus said and taught. The WTBTS says it knows when Jesus was installed as earth’s king and returned (turned his attention to the earth) and Jesus essentially says something different: “You cannot know that! Only the Father knows this! I do not even know! So, who told you? From what source is this 1914 date?”

From What Source?

If Jesus had no such knowledge of when his coronation as earth’s king would take place, then from what source did the Watch Tower organization gets its knowledge? From what Jesus had stated, it would not have come from the Father directly to that organization, bypassing The Son of God. Jesus said that he did not know, so how can any human or human agency know what Jesus said that he did not? The only source would be the Devil himself. He has perpetrated this lie of 1914 for the purpose of misleading the entire world in order to make it believes that the time frame for the events mentioned in Matthew Chapter 24, Mark Chapter 13, and Luke 21 and The Book of Revelation to occur within a particular time frame, thus throwing everyone off and causing them to peer into the wrong time period. If one expected and believes that the Master returned in time period X (1914) – and he really has not – then they imply that Jesus words were spoken at Matthew 24:42 are false words. For the Master says: “Keep on the watch, therefore, because YOU do not know on what day YOUR Lord is coming.”

This stance is in opposition to what Jesus had stated. This is the spirit of Antichrist. For more details about the origin of the 1914 date, please see my article at 1914: A Hope Deferred

Who Is The Truth?

Another reasoning point that shows that the organization claiming to be Jehovah’s Earthly organization and only channel through which he speaks to the domestics in the congregations can be seen in the expression all Jehovah’s Witnesses make. Admittedly, many use it not really thinking about what is really being expressed. What is that expression? “In the truth.” It is an expression that Jehovah’s Witnesses use commonly in their discussions with one another.

When Jehovah’s Witnesses use this expression what are they saying? They understand it to mean that if one is associated with The Watch Tower and Bible Tract Society, then they are “in the truth.” That is, in the organization that has the truth. Yet, also in the meaning of this expression is that “the organization itself is the truth” even though it teaches that Jesus is The Truth.

Yes, the WTBTS does acknowledge that Jesus is “The Truth” in accordance with John 14:6, but at the same time – in a round-about way – says that it – as an organization is the truth and those within her are “in the truth” and all outside of the organization is “worldly persons” and are not in the truth.

I know that Jesus said that he is”The Truth” and that no one – no one – comes to the Father “but by him.” So what is this anomaly that stands up claiming itself and those “within her” are “in the truth?” Jesus’ call was for persons to attach themselves to him – the person – and to become “his” disciples – not an attachment to religious organization of any sort that makes lofty claims such as this.

The Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society’s lofty claim brings under itself persons that should be under Jesus. (1 Cor 11:3) Once persons are indoctrinated into that “system” they really do – in time – believe themselves to be “in the truth.” The WTBTS being that truth.

A certain fear of organization develops. Fear of organizational leadership from the Governing Body at the top all the way down to the Elders in the local congregations. Fear to think and speak outside the Watch Tower program. Fear that one will be viewed as rebellious, disruptive, apostate, unfaithful and “going against Jehovah’s arrangement.” Fear of being put out (disfellowshipped) of the organization if one is not remorseful or refusing to be “readjusted.”

The subtle ploy is to bring men, women, and children under the power and control of human agency. To bring them into a form of captivity that tells them what to think, how to think, what to say, what to read, what not to read, who one can and cannot associate with. A reversion back to law-keeping in the sense that its members are sized up by how well they stick to the Watch Tower program of meeting attendance, commenting at the meetings, and the number of hours spent in the Field Service arrangement. These are external measures that do not measure a person’s true heart condition and faithfulness to God and Christ. There is nothing on that monthly Field Service report that one can fill out that measures this.

Individual Jehovahs Witnesses are made to feel guilty if they miss meetings and who do not participate in the minimum ten hours per month Field Service arrangement. Regular Publishers in the local congregations fear the men “in charge:” The Local Elders. The Local Elders fear the Circuit Overseers visits; The Circuit Overseers fear the District Overseers, and the District Overseers fear The Governing Body. Who does the Governing Body fear? No one.

This enslavement and burdening of men, women, and children are not what Jehovah God and His Christ had in mind. In fact, it was from such enslavement that Jesus freed his first chosen disciples. (John 8:31-32) The Master goes away, and then enters human agency to re-enslave mankind once again under the banner of “religion.”

Jesus is the truth and it is to this one we are to take our direction; not from men and their organizations – no matter what claims they make for themselves – who claim to speak in Jesus behalf and with his voice.

Neither is the WTBTS or any human organization on earth “The Truth” or has Jesus [the] Christ within them. It, like all of the rest of religious organizations, is Antichrist. They all act as if The Son of God is dead and unable to “speak” for himself. Dead persons cannot speak.

I know that this Son of God lives and speaks to those seeking fellowship, wisdom, knowledge, and understanding with and from the Father in heaven through “him.” None of these things would be possible through a dead person. Yet, stand-in religious organization speaks as if The Son of God is dead and unable to speak to us without going through religious organizations. Those voices issuing out of these religious organizations – WTBTS included – are not the voice of The Son of God. These are the voices of men and true disciples of Christ are not to listen to or respond to these voices that call out to them and seek to direct them. John 10:1-5 says:

He that does not enter into the sheepfold through the door but climbs up some other place, that one is a thief and a plunderer. But he that enters through the door is shepherd of the sheep. The doorkeeper opens to this one, and the sheep listen to his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has got all his own out, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him, because they know his voice. A stranger they will by no means follow but will flee from him, because they do not know the voice of strangers.

The Way And The Life

The WTBTS makes the lofty claim that it is “The Life.” How so? Well, it teaches that only those “within her” and “associated with the organization” will have life. It views itself as a sort of place of safety and modern-day Noah’s Ark. It calls the life of those within her even now, a “spiritual paradise.”

It also views itself as “The Way.” How so? Well, it states that it is only by “association” with the WTBTS that one can have life. So when Jesus says that it is only “by him” that one comes to the Father – the giver and sustainer of all life – the WTBTS says it is through them. I bring back to your attention the WTBTS’s definition – in part – of Antichrist: “against or instead of Christ.”

That the WTBTS claims for itself to be The Truth, The Way, and The Life – things Jesus ascribed only to himself – places that organization in an “instead of Christ” position; as an Antichrist.

That it views itself as such can also be seen in the baptismal vow all Jehovahs Witnesses take. The following is taken from the June 1, 1985, Watchtower, page 30:

On the basis of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, have you repented of your sins and dedicated yourself to Jehovah to do his will?

The second is:

Do you understand that your dedication and baptism identify you as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in association with God’s spirit-directed organization?

Notice who it is that one must be associated with in order to be approved by God (or a servant of Jehovah): The organization. At Matthew 28:19-20, The Master, Jesus Christ, left instructions (actually this is a command) for his disciples to baptize persons who would become “his disciples” in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Notice in the baptismal vow that the Holy Spirit is not mentioned. INSTEAD, “spirit-directed organization” is. This is the “spirit” of Antichrist or the Antichrist’s inspired expression. Notice how 1 John 4:3 reads (NWT):

Furthermore, this is the antichrist’s [inspired expression] which YOU have heard was coming, and now it is already in the world.

Jesus did not tell us to baptize in the name of The Father, The Son, and a spirit-directed ORGANIZATION, did he? This shows an opposing or “anti” spirit against Christ. Jesus, who is Lord and Master, says do something in a certain manner, and an organization does not follow his instructions and does something DIFFERENT.

Jesus [the] Christ is mankind’s only Head and Director. We are follow him, So says Matthew 23:10:

Neither be called ‘leaders,’ for YOUR Leader is one, the Christ

To Be Called Jehovahs Witnesses?

The WTBTS uses Isaiah 43:10-12 to justify the naming of themselves Jehovahs Witnesses. It also makes the assumption that this is what Jehovah God wanted them to do. Yet, it was WTBTS second President J.F. Rutherford in 1931 who coined that expression Jehovahs Witnesses. The organization even goes as far as saying that persons as far back as Noah were “Witnesses of Jehovah.” I can accept that men like Noah, Moses and the many Prophets were indeed witnesses of Jehovah but that was not a “title” they took upon themselves, they were “spokesmen” of Jehovah.

Nowhere in Scripture do we read of anyone being called Jehovahs Witnesses. Jesus told those who would follow him to be known as “his disciples.” Not witnesses or disciples of Jehovah, but to be “his disciples.” This, too, is an opposing spirit that identifies the WTBTS as one of the many Antichrists in the world.

And so Jesus went on to say to the Jews that had believed him: “If YOU remain in my word, YOU are really my disciples, and YOU will know the truth, and the truth will set YOU free. (John 8:31-32)

And whoever does not accept his torture stake and follow after me is not worthy of me. (Matthew 10:38)

Going Against Jehovah’s Arrangement?

A very convenient “weight” of control that the WTBTS leadership uses to shackle its membership is the use of the expression, “Going against God’s arrangement.” Let me explain by providing a true story of how it is used to instill fear of organization.

A mother and her Son – both Jehovahs Witnesses – were the recipients of this controlling expression. Her adult Son had gotten himself in some trouble. This upright young man did not keep his “offense” secret and let it be known to a body of Elders in a local congregation he was attending. They disfellowshiped him because they perceived that he did not show “enough” remorse. (I suppose he did not break down in tears before them).

This disfellowshiped young man continued to attend the meetings on a regular basis and out of the blue, his mother received a phone call from a Ministerial Servant in the Congregation her son used to attend some 1000 miles away in another State. The Ministerial Servant claimed that an Elder in the Congregation to which he also attends asked him to call the young man for the purpose of extracting from him the phone number of an Elder in the new congregation the young man and mother now attends.

Well, the Mother thought this unusual. “Why don’t that Elder call the young man himself (also unusual).” Or, better yet, “Why don’t the Elder call the Congregation himself?” I know that all congregations anywhere in the world are reachable via published phone numbers that all Elders in the congregations have access to. The normal way contact is made with another congregation is for Elders to call the “Secretary” assigned to the congregations.

The Mother of the young man did not provide this information because it was an unusual request. She asked the Ministerial Servant to give her the name and number of the Elder who told him to do this so that she – the young man’s Mother – could talk to that Elder. The Ministerial Servant refused. This is when a red flag went up in my mind.

The Ministerial Servant went into his bag of tricks and told the Mother that since she refuses to give him the information, that she is “Going against Jehovahs arrangement.”

I would have challenged him and asked where does Jehovah say that refusal to provide personal information is against His arrangement? This is just another strong-armed mechanism to let Watch Tower membership know that they are to do as the organization directs them, for the organization “is” that arrangement.

How convenient to be able to use that expression to get people to say and do anything one wants them to. Because “Going against Jehovahs arrangement”  is taught as being the same as going against Jehovah God.

If one buys into this line, hook, and sinker, then they are already ensnared and will do as “The Organization” says and will expect others with them to do the same, else they will be “turned in” to the Watchtower authorities.

This is not the way God expects His people to function. It is a functioning not as free people, but an enslaved people and a people in fear of what “an organization” of men can do to them.

Jesus told us to place our burdens upon him. He will lighten our load. So reads Matthew 11:28-30:

Come to me, all YOU who are toiling and loaded down, and I will refresh YOU.Take my yoke upon YOU and learn from me, for I am mild-tempered and lowly in heart, and YOU will find refreshment for YOUR souls. For my yoke is kindly and my load is light.

Yet, what exists within the WTBTS is a burdening of the people with heavy loads; and they are continually piled on in the guise of “increased service to Jehovah.” These things are against what Jesus spoke. Jesus taught a lightening of the load and freedom; yet, religious organization teaches and practices a placing of heavy burdens, demands, and regulations upon people and enslavement of those who are associated with her. This is the spirit of Antichrist and goes against what Jesus stated.

The true measure and guide in determining who are antichrists is NOT what the “Bible” says – according to the Watch Tower organization – but what “The Christ” and those he personally chose and taught – his Apostles – says about the matter. The Watch Tower and all so-called Christian religious organizations teach and assume that “The Bible” is “The Word of God.” The Bible is a book that surfaced conveniently AFTER the death of the last restraint (last Apostle) and was inserted into the scheme of things as The Word of God. As I stated earlier, it was men who compiled it from 66 smaller books discarding what they felt should not be a part of the canon; it was men who “authorized” it (that is one of those “who told you to do that” things); it was men who made it Holy; and it was men who made it “The Word of God.” Yet, the Most High God at Revelation 19:13 explicitly tells us who is “The Word of God.” (See John 3:16).

While I believe that the book men gave the name “Bible” to, contains information about the teachings of Christ, the book itself is not to be ascribed a title and role that belongs only to The Son of God: The Word of God. One does not listen to “The Bible,” one listens to Jesus [the] Christ who IS “The Word of God.” (Luke 9:35)

Only the voices of human and human agency that would subtly place itself and “a book” in front of mankind and ascribe to itself and a book as being from God – instead of placing “the person of the Christ before mankind” – is an antichrist.

These humans and human agencies are “making a celebrated name for themselves” and carving out a belief system that acts and speaks in a manner different from that of The Master, Head, and Lord of mankind.

When religious organization makes the lofty claim for itself that IT is the only channel that God uses, then that tells me that it is an antichrist because Jesus says that “he” is the only way. (John 14:6)

When religious organization says that those within her are “in the truth,” that tells me that the organization is antichrist because Jesus says “he” is The Truth and obviously those who are attached to “him” are in his truth. (John 8:31-32)

When religious organization says that those within her exists in a “spiritual paradise” (a life), then I know that it is antichrist because Jesus says that “he” is the life and that his paradise (1000 year kingdom) is yet to come. Jesus promised an evildoer this. (Luke 23:43)

Antichrists are controllers and enslavers of mankind. They present themselves as of God and Christ. They can be very convincing and “look” the part on the outside. But very careful examination of the inside of them and the things they say and do and teach others to say and do show them contrary or against (anti) The Christ.

Jesus warned of them coming: “Wolves in sheeps clothing.” The look like sheep in the outside but are predators of mankind, seeking to devour or consume (control) them.

Honest members of the WTBTS know full well that there is an unsettling element of fear and control over them by that organization. They are literally afraid of “The Organization” because Watch Tower indoctrination has told them that it is “Jehovahs Earthly Organization” and to disobey it and go “against it” is the same as going against Jehovah and His Christ. That my friends is antichrist as well because “an organization” has inserted itself into a place where it does not belong: In between man and Christ. There is only one reason why this occurs: So that human agency can take control over something that belongs to another.

It was Jesus [the] Christ who gave up his precious life in behalf of mankind, thus making him our “Redeemer, Purchaser, Owner, Master, Lord and Head.” In steps human agency who acts as if it was themselves who made the sacrifice. It is human agency that has stolen the sheep (mankind) of the true owner and it is human agency who treats these sheep as if they belong to them. This is antichrist.

Human agency twists the words of the Master where he said “Feed my sheep.” He did not say control them and hinder their strength in follow the Master himself and doing what he says and going where “he” directs us.

So, antichrists loom large and identifying them is done not by looking at “external” things such as statistics, number of hours placed in field service, number of publcations placed, or growth in membership (no mention of the many who leave); but identified by “internal” things. These would be the things that issue out from the inside such as what it says and teaches; are these things against what Jesus taught and the example he set for us?

Cleanliness is not by what one sees on the outside, but what by what is on the inside. The WTBTS prides itself on presenting a “clean image.” This is external and superifical and does not reflect what it is on the inside. This is translated over onto the individual Witness. They perform external acts “showy displays” that do not reflect what the individual is on the inside. Service is performed out of fear at what the organization will do to the individual Witness if they don’t.

Male members must be clean shaven (Europeonized) and no beards or gotees allowed. The dress of women must be “well arranged.” Well arranged is interpreted as an acclamation to Europeanization.

I personally know of hundreds of individuals I have been associated with who did not like getting up early in the morning to engage in the Field Servicee arrangement. But they did it because it was a certain pressure and demand upon them by the organization. They have been told that NOT to participate in that arrangement was a measure of their spiritual state – weak or lacking – and the individual Witness knew that s/he did not support the FS arrangement, they would receive a “Shepherding Call” by Elders. The Shepherding Call is simply a mechanism to ascertain why an individual is not in-step with the program. It is presented as “a problem” and “we are here to help you” type thing. It is a tool to keep persons under the control and in lock-step with Watch Tower teaching and indoctrination.

So what I am getting at here is that “external” things are no true measure of a persons inside heart condition. If one is placed under compulsion to perform certain acts and adhere to certain crafted rules and regulations, then it is external pressure – not an inside desire – that fuels one to perform them.

One must prayerfully step back to see what is happening under our very eyes: The exercise of power and control over the sheep (mankind) of the true owner of them. The controllers are religious organizations who all have one spirit: The spirit of antichrist. (1 John 4:3)

In all honesty and frankness, it has been the descendants of Japheth (European) who have taken the lead in this great great deception and misleading of mankind. So deeply entrenched and influential they have been, most persons are afraid to speak of it or address it. For one to do so, they are besmearched as someone who is crazy. People have been conditioned “not to see it.”

For example, I was having a discussion with a person about the present day orientation of the world map where the North Pole is at the top and the South Pole is at the bottom. I explained that this orientation was what we are all used to seeing; it is what we have been taught. Then I asked him, “Who told you and I that this orientation is the correct one?” I explained that it was not until the year 90AD that Ptolemy created this orientation – North at the top and South at the bottom – and the Europeans simply adopted it. Before Ptolemy East – the rising of the sun – was at the top. Ptoemly “oriented” the globe the way many view it today. This is where the word “orient” comes from.

The point I was making that we have been conditioned to see things as someone wants us to see them. That does not make it true.

For example, the mighty Nile River – the largest river in the world – flows different from most rivers in the world. It flows from South to North and empties out into the Mediterranean Sea.

That means then, that the Nile River has it’s source in the deep southern region of Africa (near Uganda actually). In the book of Genesis we are told of a river (unamed) that issued out of a “region” called Eden. This “source” river split into four head waters. Genesis mentions the names of these rivers as … One must take note of where these four head waters went: Areas in Africa (Land of Cush, Havilah, Ethiopia)

The Nile river is the source of this four rivers making the river that issued out of the region called Eden, the Nile. That means then the location of the Garden of Eden was not somewhere in the Northern region of Mesopatania or Middle East, but in Southern Africa and the first man and woman was not as they are aggressively being depeicted in literature and taught in the religious systems of Christianity.

This is a case of somethig being the truth, but it is the truth that many do not want to accept. They prefer the lie. They prefer to visualize Adam and Eve through the eyes of a European concieved universe, not through the universe as it truthfully is.

I have had persons – many of my own race – outright get angry at me because I speak and write about these things. I then ask them: “If the tables were turned and what was being presented to the world was a Black Adam and Eve, a Black Jesus, a Black Moses, a Black Noah for example, do you think those of European descent would be OK with it? Do you really think that these are the images they want implanted in the minds of their children?”

Yet, people of color all over the world are “expected” to accept their “Europeanized” version of it. They want our dark-skinned children to have their “European-concieved” images implanted in our own children and this is OK with them without conscience or thought. Is that not arrogant, selfish, and ethnocentric?

Such is the spirit of antichrist.

No one should make an image of anything they have not seen; that means in print (literature), art or film. Somewhere along the line mankind has convinced itself that the making of images of things that cannot be seen is a trivial matter.

What I find most a most interesting characteristic of the Western nations and Christianity is its tendency to portray the images of gods in the ancient history of other cultures as pagan. Yet, within its own cultures it does not portray the images of the things that it has not seen as pagan, but as chaste, authentic or true. The things within Christianity that have not seen such as: God, Jesus, angels, Satan the Devil, Adam and Eve, Noah, Moses, Abraham, The Prophets and so forth. What is more disturbing as I have stated earlier is the portrayal of these things in a European flavor.

Yet, the spirit of antichrist has subtly and defiantly led (misled) the world of mankind to do what The Most High God has stated that His Creation must not do.

The primary tool employed to accomplish this “anti” God and Christ things looms large over all of mankind, it is called religion.

We are not to be religious persons. We are to be godly persons. There is a very big difference between the two. The former is antichrist, though many have not come to realize this.

And, with regard to the one we are to follow – because he knows the way to The Tree of Life, that is, God The Father – it is The Son of God. This following is not to the many false Christs the world has stood up (See my article “Will The Real Christ Stand Up“), but to the invisible one who currently stands at his Fathers right side awaiting to be given his kingdom of 1000 years over the earth.

No one of importance. A disciple (student) of Christ apart from the established religious systems who reasons, thinks and concludes matters for myself. Something is not right with the state of religion in the world. The real dichotomy is that we live in a world so full of religion, yet is an evil, immoral, and dangerous place to live. A mental and spiritual separation from this world that Jesus said his kingdom is no part of is the first step to a "break-through" to freedom and entry into a much larger spiritual world where God and Christ resides and the wisdom, knowledge, and understanding of God can be accessed.

  1. Well done write up,I applaud your blog!

Jehovah’s Witnesses are in *breach of the preach*.
Jehovah’s Witnesses proselytizing is a false Gospel. (Gal. 1:8)

Straight up doctrinal facts on Jehovah Witness.
The Jehovah’s Witnesses teach preach that Jesus had his return aka second coming October 1914,then they spin all sorts of doctrinal embellishments on that date.
They teach only 144,000 go to heaven,on and on and on with made up man made dogmas……They have infighting, crime and child abuse as bad as any church out there.

Jehovah’s Witnesses promotion of their Watchtower sect has the net effect of stumbling and turning people off to the real Gospel.
Jesus said: “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you travel land and sea to win one proselyte; and when he is won, you make him twice as much a son of hell as yourselves” (Matt 23:15)

    1. Danny, the WTBTS are not the only ones guilty of speaking what God and Christ did not, it is the entire systems of religion standing up upon the earth in control of people and governmental authorities. The Good News of the Kingdom has not been given yet. No one – not even the WTBTS – can show from Scripture what Good News of the Kingdom message is. What the WTBTS has done is “created their own” branding of a “Good News of the Kingdom Message” that simply entails placement of publications in the householders hands. Yet, no Witness can explicitly state or lift from Scripture “what that message is.” Why? Because it has not been given. A comparative look at Matthew 24:14, Revelation 10:7, Revelation 14:6, and Revelation 20:6-7 show the Good News message, the giving of it, and the preaching of it, is a feature of a time period AFTER the future 1000 year Kingdom of Christ has ended.

A comparison of Matthew 24:31 and Revelation 14:6 show that it will not be humans who will be declaring that Good News, but angels. Matthew 24:31 shows the Christ (will have been made king by then) gathering his elect from the earth to be with them in heaven (the first invisible resurrection). Revelation 14:1 shows these resurrected ones with him in heaven. BUT, Revelation 14:6 shows angels declaring the Good News message, not men. In fact, the Good News message that these angels declare is shown beginning at Revelation 8:7 to Revelation 11:15 as symbolized by a series of “trumpet” blasts. This is in alignment with what is stated at Matthew 24:31.

The major problem the WTBTS has as well as almost every religious organization who uses The Bible, is that they are applying the events of The Book of Revelation to either events of the past and currently. This is a mistake. The events of the Book of Revelation have not had a start of being fulfilled. When Jehovah gave it to Jesus and Jesus gave it to an angel, and the angel presented it to the Apostle John, Jesus was issuing a warning as to what will happen AFTER his future 1000 year kingdom on earth will have ended (Rev 20:6-8) and the Great Dragon ascends out of the abyss.

The subject of the entire book of revelation is about the time period after Jesus’ 1000 year kingdom ends (when he is no longer earth’ king) and all of mankind is restored. Mankind will be as Adam was, perfect and without the need of a mediator. One to one in communication with God. Now the Great Dragon is released upon that future world. That is the subject of the Book of Revelation. It about Satan being let loose upon them and the establishment of a Beastly system of rule over them and a usurpation of what Jesus left behind: A paradise. The craft dragon will use that his advantage and mislead an entire future world by making his beastly system of rule a “beneficial” and “peaceful one” for those who worship (support) his image.

People are looking in the wrong time period.

Thus, no message preached today by anyone can be that Good News because it has not been given yet. Individual JWs really do not know what it is. They have only been indoctrinated and “told” by WT authority that going from house-to-house and placing magazines and getting “Bible Studies” is engaging in The Good News of the Kingdom BUT cannot express what the Good News “message” is from Scripture. This is a subtle difference.

I still talk with many Witnesses (who still secretly view me as their friend) and they are all hard pressed to state “what” the Good News message is.

I have no fear of the Watch Tower. I was not disfellowshiped, I quietly disassociated myself after more than 20 years.

I am not angry at the WTBTS or the individual JWs within the congregations. It brings me no pleasure to speak abusively of them or persons of any religious organization. The impetus behind what I write is simple: Listen to what the Master Jesus [the] Christ says. And, if he taught those he hand-picked – the 12 Apostle – listen to what they say as well. The Most High God tells us to listen to this one at Luke 9:35.

And Jesus commissioned his Apostles the teach others what he taught them. So we must listen to them as well. (Matthew 18:19-20)

But concerning bulk religious organizations who all speak with a different voice than Jesus, I do not listen. I champion what my Master says.

  2. Why do you feel the need the need to single out this religion? Perhaps because it represents the truth?

By the way, you start by saying you’re qualified to answer the question about the AntiChrist; but since you are a “former” witness, are you sure you’re qualified???

    1. Very good and very clever. I was a loyal baptized member of “this religion” and “quietly” disassociated myself from the organization. I was not disgrunted or angry when I left. In fact, it came to a shock to all I was associated with that I did. I was the last person anyone would have thought would diassociate himself. There were no signs to indicate to anyone that there was a problem.

So your clever attempt to make it “appear” that it was because the WTBT teaches the truth was why I write as I do is inaccurate. I know – probably better than you – what they teach and know the history of the organization. I had many “Bible Studies” and was involved in the “preaching work” not only in the United States, but also in many foreign lands and in lands where the work is banned.

Rather than deal with the issues “non-truths” that I present, the “indoctrinated” would rather make ME the subject. Yet, you speak of the WTBTS teaching the truth! The WTBTS – like other religious organizations – teach SOME truthful things, but NONE of them teach the Truth. Only Christ teaches the truth.

You – like many others – but “an organization” as the teacher of truth rather than the “person” who is “The Truth” and the only teacher of it. This is the problem and much of what I write about. You revere an organization. If Christ – The Truth – says “up” is the truth, the organization will teach “down” is the truth.

So you believe the WTBTS teaches the truth? Well, here is one many things that the WTBTS teaches that is not the truth:

You know the 1914 date I am sure. Most JWs do not even know it’s origination. Do you?

Secondly, to show you how the WTBTS has disobeyed God and Christ can be seen in Jesus’ own words at:

      1. Matthew 24:24 – Concerning that day and hour nobody knows, neither the angels of the heavens nor the Son, but only the Father.

      2. Matthew 24:36 – Keep on the watch, therefore, because YOU do not know on what day YOUR Lord is coming

      3. Acts 1:7 – He said to them: “It does not belong to YOU to get knowledge of the times or seasons which the Father has placed in his own jurisdiction.”

Most of my former Brethren run away and ignore these Scriptures because it smacks them hard in the face as it goes against what the WTBTS teaches.

The WTBTS teach that “THEY KNOW” when Jesus returned (took kingdom power) and it was in the fall of 1914.

But wait a minute: Jesus says that “no body knows” but the Father.

Jesus also teaches that “YOU do not know on what day YOUR Lord is coming.” BUT the WTBTS says “THEY KNOW”, and it was in 1914.

Jesus says, “It does not belong to YOU to get knowledge of the times or seasons which the Father has placed in his own jurisdiction.” But an organization has place this in their jurisdiction.

It does not take a rocket scientist to see and understand what Jesus taught about dates and estabishing dates and WHO does not know when he will return.

As far as me: Know one can say or teach me anything that goes against what Christ taught. 1914 is something that is completely the opposite of what he taught  – not acccording to me – but according to his own words.

Now, you can do what the others do when they do not have an answer. You can:

      1. Make a long dissertation to take what Jesus “simply” said and make it complicated in an attempt to justify the false 1914 teaching. Or …

      2. You ignore Jesus’ words and you focus on ME as the subject – as you have already begun to do. It will not get you anywhere.

I will obey God at Luke 9:35 and I will listen to what Christ says over ANY teaching out of a religious organization.

Neither will I ascribe titles such as “The Truth” to an organization. This title belongs to the holy one, Christ himself.

What power has possessed persons to revere organizations of religion rather than God and His Christ?

By the way, if you read the account at Matthew 24:45-51 concerning the “who” is the Faithful and Discreet Slave, tell me which of the slaves mentioned (faithful or evil slaves) where more interested in DATES?

The evil slave was EXPECTING the Master to return at a certain time, but began to beat the faithful slaves when he did not arrive as they expected.

The WTBTS was in expectation of Christs return WELL BEFORE 1914. And, now the organization “beats” in a proverbial sense those – like myself – who listen to Christ who said “OU do not know on what day YOUR Lord is coming.”

Yet, you would have me listen to an organization who claims itself to be the truth and those in her “in the truth?”

Christ is the Truth. It is too bad many refuse to listen to him and defend a teaching (1914) that Jesus said is not knowable by any human, human agency, angel or himself.

So you think the WTBTS teaches the truth?

There is not ONE religious organization that teaches the truth because God did not chose any. He chose His Son and commanded us to “Listen to him.” (Luke 9:35)

Personal attacks against me will not change anything. They only give you excuse NOT to address the issues.

  3. I’m confused on how the Jehovas’s witnesses believe in a God that is powerful… But lacks the ability to present the Word in all its perfection to us today as he did for the early church. The Bible tells us that Satan in cunning and tactful. He uses our ignorance to change the smallest of truths to capture the souls of many. Taking Christ identity sounds like the work of Satan and the anti Christ.

    1. I agree to a certain extent. Witnesses inserted another entity within the equation that is most disturbing, something they call God’s Earthly Organization. If you listen to a JW speak, seeded within their sentences is the expression “God’s Earthly Organization” and that THAT organization is “The Truth.” It should be there. It is a clever way for men to exercise power and control over the weak-minded and those who have a desire for escape from dealing with the real world. JW and the mother organization- The Watch Tower – are men and women who have deluded themselves into believing that they are special and specially selected by God to carry out a worldwide mission to preach a “good news of the kingdom” message but none can tell you what that message is or where it is written. That the Watch Tower and all religious organizations exist in a world that “is no part of Christs Kingdom” makes them all owned by Satan. Satan and his angels and transform themselves into an angel of light. So, it is not just JWs, it is ALL of it. Christ does not exist within ANY religious organization, he exists WITHOUT of them. (Heb 13:12-14)
