Why The Watchtower Will Fail?

A man builds a great house upon the ground without a solid foundation. A strong storm comes along dashes the house to pieces.

Jesus spoke words similar to those above with reference to those claiming to follow him but do not the things he says. In other words, not listening to him. Jesus’ words are found in Luke 6:46-49. Notice what he says:

Why, then, do YOU call me ‘Lord! Lord!’ but do not do the things I say?  Everyone that comes to me and hears my words and does them, I will show YOU whom he is like:  He is like a man building a house, who dug and went down deep and laid a foundation upon the rock-mass. Consequently, when a flood arose, the river dashed against that house, but was not strong enough to shake it, because of its being well built.  On the other hand, he who hears and does not do, is like a man who built a house upon the ground without a foundation. Against it the river dashed, and immediately it collapsed, and the ruin of that house became great.

The act of saying is Jesus speaking and teaching others. Thus, Jesus is saying, “Why do you not listen to what I teach?” If persons claiming to follow Christ listen to what he teaches (and no other – no, not even religious organizations  or other humans claiming to speak for him), then they will do as he says. Yet, the religious system called by men, Christianity, is not listening to Jesus’ teachings and therefore not doing as he says. The religious system is teaching its membership to do as it says.

Jesus says that those claiming to follow him (calling him Lord! Lord!) is like a man who built a house upon a solid foundation; a foundation so solid that a strong flood could not even shake it and bring it down. In contrast, he said that those who claim they are his followers – and hears him – (not the same as listening), but do not do the things he says, is like a man who built a house upon no foundation. Thus, when a flood arose, it dashed the house to pieces and it collapsed.

Listening and hearing are two different things. One can hear someone say something. For example, our children may hear us (ignore) but not listen to us. If they listen to us, then they would pay attention do as we say. So listening is much more than hearing. Listening is active.

Why The Watchtower Will Fail?

Frankly put: It has not listened to the Master; and because it has not listened to him, it has built a great house upon a false foundation that will not stand the test of the flood of trouble that is to come. The seven million members of the Watch Tower organization are completely unprepared and proverbially naked. Even now there are strong signs of that false foundation being exposed as being very weak. Why do I say this?

1914 – A False Foundation

As a former dedicated and baptized Jehovah’s Witness for more than 25 years, I know well the 1914 teaching. It is a teaching upon which almost all of the prophetic teachings of the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society (WTBTS) hinges upon. For example, the WTBTS teaches that in 1914 the “Appointed Times of the Nations” came to an end. In other words, the powers granted to the Gentile rulers of the world ended in that year and Christ at that time became earth’s king. The then “International Bible Students” had proclaimed through preachers and through the press – long before the arrival of the year 1914 – that the year 1914 would usher in the Day of Wrath prophesized by the Bible. The WTBTS teaches that it was in 1914 that the beginning of the last days began and it was the year that Christ returned (parousia) and began ruling as earth’s king invisibly from heaven. Notice what the encyclopedic publication of the WTBTS,  Insight To The Scriptures Volume 1 on page 135 says:

It is a historical fact worth noting that, on the basis of the points and evidence above presented, the March 1880 edition of the Watch Tower magazine identified the year 1914 as the time for the close of “the appointed times of the nations” (and the end of the lease of power granted the Gentile rulers). This was some 34 years before the arrival of that year and the momentous events it initiated. In the August 30, 1914, edition of The World, a leading New York newspaper at that time, a feature article in the paper’s Sunday magazine section commented on this as follows: “The terrific war outbreak in Europe has fulfilled an extraordinary prophecy. For a quarter of a century past, through preachers and through press, the ‘International Bible Students’ . . . have been proclaiming to the world that the Day of Wrath prophesied in the Bible would dawn in 1914.”

The events that took place from and after the year 1914 C.E. are well-known history to all, beginning with the great war that erupted, the first world war in mankind’s history and the first to be fought over the issue, not of the domination of Europe alone, nor of Africa, nor of Asia, but of the domination of the world.

There are several serious  problems with what is written above. Firstly, it was not the Watch Tower magazine that identified the year 1914 as the time for the close of the “Appointed Times of the Nations.” Rather, it was a Second Adventist by the name of N. H. Barbour. Charles Taze Russell, as a young man and as a Second Adventist, was tutored by Mr. Barbour and held him in high regard. N. H. Barbour was the Editor of the Second Adventist monthly magazine “Herald of the Morning” (see illustration below) where he hailed 1914 as the date of Christs Second Presence. Charles Taze Russell was an Assistant Editor of that magazine. Below is a scan of that magazine and you will see Charles Taze Russell’s name at the top-left as an Assistant Editor. And, on the lower-right side of the magazine you will see the statement “End of the Gentile Times End in 1914.”

So what is stated in the Insight To The Scriptures book and what is being taught today to millions of Jehovah’s Witnesses by the WTBTS about the March 1880 Watchtower identifying 1914 as the end of the Gentile Times (Appointed Times of the Nations) is not true. The magazine above – Herald of the Morning – which is dated July 1878 makes that declaration. Sadly, most Jehovah’s Witnesses are oblivious to this. They have not been told the truth and have been misled into believing that the WTBTS is the originator of the 1914 date. Neither are Jehovah’s Witnesses told that Charles Taze Russell simply adopted the 1914 date from the Second Adventist when he broke away from that group and formed his International Bible Students Association.

The primary reason why the WTBTS has kept this information away from its membership is because it teaches that The Most High God has always had a “Faithful and Discreet Slave” on earth since Pentecost 33 C.E. That it would be through this Faithful Slave that The Most High God would filter down His truth, guidance, and directions. This Faithful Slave today – according to the WTBTS – are a group of eight men called the Governing Body. (In the beginning of the WTBTS this group of men has always been 100% made up of men of European descent. Only recent was an African American – Samuel Herd – added. Yet, this is still grossly disproportionate and not representative of the earth’s diverse racial makeup. One would think that God is partial. I know that is not the case.)

governing-body-watchtower-2013-july-15-p26

Concerning these eight men of the Governing Body the July 15th publication of the Watchtower magazine, p.24 says:

We need to obey the faithful and discreet slave to have Jehovah’s approval.

Since when are worshipers of God and servants of Christ to obey men? Why are White men (this is not to be taken as racist but it has to be said) within all of the vast Christian religious system stationing themselves in positions of leadership and headship over the people of the earth? People that do not belong to them. Christ died and paid the price for each and every human life. Christ, therefore, is mankind’s owner and Master and it is the approval of the owner that we should be seeking, not that of men.

What I see occurring within the religious system called by men, Christianity, is a mechanism to control people of color. A mechanism to strip them of their ancestry and identity and impose upon them via indoctrination a European identity. For example, to take African people, and Europeanize them and turn them into “controllable” and “pliable” “good Christians.” The expression “Good Christians” meaning to obey the man of “European descent.” The Most High God – Jesus’ God and my God – would not choose a small group of eight men predominately of European descent to disseminate something as serious as “the truth” to a world of over 7 billion people where about 60% is Asian, 15% is African, 11% European and 7.6% is American. What do these men know about what it is like to be Asian or African? Yet, they would have Asians and Africans Europeanized and in suits and ties.

I recall a situation in one of the Kingdom Halls I was attached to when I was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses that involved an African American “Brother” who was a “Ministerial Servant,” very friendly, intelligent, articulate, a family man, a good dresser (by European/American standards) and gave good talks from the podium. He did not have much hair (and was losing it), but did the best with what he had. Well, he came to one of the meetings one evening and he had arranged the back of the hair on his head down by the neck as a shag. (See image below).

kanye-lead-shag

Myself being an African American – and the other African American Jehovah’s Witnesses – paid no attention and it would be something we would not make an issue over. Well, one of the White Elders (a Bethelite) had a serious problem with that “Brother’s” shag hair do. He felt that it projected the wrong image to the householders and persons we would meet in the ministry. He also felt that it set a bad example for the young Black boys and men within the Congregation. The “Brother” was asked to remove or trim down his “shag.” When he refused to do so, he was asked to step down from being a Ministerial Servant and a committee of Elders (all White men) removed him from his position. The “Brother” was cut very deeply by this because he simply did not understand what the problem was with his hair; and neither did the African American “Brothers and Sisters” within the Congregation but they would not let it be openly known and only murmured disapproval of the Elder committee’s decision privately among themselves out of fear of being looked upon as persons not following “Jehovah’s direction.” The decision to “step down” as Ministerial cut the “Brother” deeply and he eventually stopped going to Kingdom Hall meetings.

Yet, I would look around at the many of the “White Brothers” and I saw clothing that was not pressed, shoes not shined, and hair not always neatly trimmed. It made no sense to me then. But now, I know why: It was the image that the WTBTS was perpetuating. The same image as seen in the illustrations and portrayals of Adam, Eve, Mary and Joseph, Angels, Jesus, etc as persons of European descent within the many of that organization’s publications; the image as seen in the racial makeup of the Governing Body: Persons of European descent. That “Black Brother” had deviated from that image. Something sinister was in place and I knew deep down inside none of this was from The Most High God.

What it all amounted to was making people of color in the congregations of Jehovah’s Witnesses all over the world fearful and to be in reverent fear of White people. There was another effect: It amounted to people of color having no respect for their own skin color, ancestry, themselves as persons, and their own leaders. It is for that reason that the religious system called by men, Christianity, purposefully portray Adam, Eve, Mary, Jesus, Angels, The Prophets, The Apostles and others as persons of European descent in the literature they publish and disseminate.

We see the Popes out of the Catholic Church as being men of European descent and Governing Bodies within the Watch Tower and the other major (and minor) denominations as being persons of European descent. This is all calculated for one reason: To make persons fearful of the man of European descent and to obey and follow him without question or challenge. If one does not obey them, then they will receive God’s disapproval … and  …  I repeat what was said about the Governing Body of Jehovah’s Witnesses in the Watchtower magazine above:

We need to obey the faithful and discreet slave to have Jehovah’s approval.

It is to persons such as myself – who mean no person any harm – the Governing Body labels (by its own definition) as Apostate. The Governing Body needs a mechanism in place to prevent the uninformed and misled from hearing persons such as myself. (As if those persons cannot think and reason for themselves). So the Governing Body uses its “Obey us or meet with Jehovah’s disapproval” power first place a foul stench upon persons such as myself to such an extent that those in the congregations believe I “smell wretched” and then to tell those Jehovah’s Witnesses in the congregations below to shun and stay away from persons such as myself and not speak to us or read anything we write. And, if they do or are caught doing so, they could face disfellowshipment from the organization. (I fully understand why any organization would want to protect its membership from some persons. I have seen some very angry ex-Jehovah’s Witnesses that scare even me. They have axes to grind and many of them are vicious. I am not referring to them. I am referring to concerned persons such as myself who has no ax to grind but care for not only my ex Brothers and Sisters but for all persons. My interest is only with directing persons to an “unseen” and “raceless one” – my Master, The Son of God. That is what the WTBTS is in fear of; it does not want discipleship to Christ, it wants discipleship to itself and the Governing Body that controls the organization).

Yet, the Most High God has NEVER told anyone to OBEY any human or human agency in order to meet with His approval. Such things come from men who seek to ensnare, indoctrinate and control others and lead them away from the one they are to obey.

The Most High God tells who it is that He has chosen and who we are to listen to. It is by listening to His Son that we meet with His approval. The Most High God Himself says at Luke 9:35:

This is my Son, the one that has been chosen. Listen to him.

The Apostle Paul shows that it is not been that we are to please, but God. Notice what he says at 1 Thess 1:10-12:

Is it, in fact, men I am now trying to persuade or God? Or am I seeking to please men? If I were yet pleasing men, I would not be Christ’s slave. For I put YOU on notice, brothers, that the good news which was declared by me as good news is not something human;  for neither did I receive it from man, nor was I taught [it], except through revelation by Jesus Christ.

I personally will NEVER be in fear of men so as to obey THEM above God and Christ; no matter what lofty claims they make for themselves. Why would they arrogate themselves to want to be OBEYED as if THEY are Masters over others? Mankind has only ONE Head and Master, the Christ. So says 1 Cor 11:3:

But I want YOU to know that the head of every man is the Christ; in turn the head of a woman is the man; in turn the head of the Christ is God.

Such men want to be the Head and Masters over other men. Yet, they come across as kindly and as Brothers. Remember what Cain did to Abel. Such men want to be feared and revered. Such men are thieves; thieves in the sense of taking control and ownership over something that they did not pay for our own: Mankind. Christ paid that price and he is the owner and Master and the only one to be obeyed.

Getting back to the reason why the WTBTS has kept hidden from its membership the origination of the 1914 date is that if the 1914 date truly came from Jehovah then it would have come “through” this supposed Faithful and Discreet Slave” channel (according to the WTBTS). Well, the 1914 date came from the Second Adventist! And, thus the need for the WTBTS to cloud the issue and falsely claim that the 1914 date came through them. The WTBTS would never acknowledge any organization – other than itself – as being or containing that Faithful and Discreet Slave.

Most Jehovah’s Witnesses today have no clue about this; and when you raise the issue, they run from it or look at YOU as if there is something wrong with YOU. There is an “How dare you to accuse “God’s Organization of lying and misleading us” attitude and an abject denial that such a thing would “Never happen within God’s Earthly Organization.”  Then you have the many Jehovah’s Witnesses who take the line of reasoning that, “If such a thing is true, Jehovah will fix it.”

So it is a very difficult thing to reason with “the indoctrinated” because they are thoroughly convinced that they are “in the truth” even though what I have presented just now shows that it is the truth is what has been kept from them and that there has been – and still is – a great misleading underway.

A second problem with the statement made in the Insight Book quoted above concerns the statement Day of Wrath prophesied in the Bible would dawn in 1914. Notice how the reader and researcher are steered into listening to what “The Bible” prophesied about 1914. The reader is subtly coaxed into listening to what “The Bible” says rather than to what “Christ” says.

In the beginning of this article, I quoted Jesus [the] Christ himself concerning those claiming to follow him and hear him but who do not listen and build their house upon no foundation. Well, here you go! The Bible and “organizations” are being listened to rather than Christ.

Christ never spoke of any date – especially 1914 – NEVER! Since he did not, the WTBTS brings “The Bible” into the picture in order to give validity to the 1914 teaching by saying that “The Bible” teaches it. At any rate, what it boils down to is Christ not being listened to.

What the WTBTS (as well as all of Christendom) was to sell to the entire world that this book called “The Bible” is holy and “The Word of God.” They have all done this masterfully as the so-called believing world believes that “The Bible” is the Word of God. That this belief is so prevalent, it becomes an easy matter to make statements such as Day of Wrath prophesied in the Bible would dawn in 1914 and people believe it and not question it.

Yet, The Most High God has established only one spokesman (God’s Word) and he has been identified as a PERSON and not a BOOK. His name is Jesus [the] Christ and he is the ONLY Word of God. That is why the Most High God has commanded at Luke 9:35:

And a voice came out of the cloud, saying: “This is my Son, the one that has been chosen. Listen to him.

No, The Most High God did not say listen to the Bible or listen to religious organizations; He said, “Listen to him” (His Son).

The 1914 Teaching – Defies God and Christ

The 1914 teaching represents a defiant posture towards God and Christ and it is a false teaching that rests upon no foundation. No foundation is a false foundation; it is an empty pit. Here is why?

First of all, Jesus [the] Christ identified himself as the true rock-mass or foundation. If we listen to him (hears and does), then we are like a discreet and wise man who built his house upon a strong and true foundation. If we listen to things that Christ did not teach, we are like foolish men who built their house upon the sand. (Matthew 7:24-26)

So the question is: Did Christ teach 1914? The answer is an emphatical, no! In fact, Jesus taught that it is not possible for neither humans, angels or himself (The Son) to know such things. What I am about to share with you does NOT COME FROM ME, it comes from The Master himself.

Matthew 24:36
Concerning that day and hour nobody knows, neither the angels of the heavens nor the Son, but only the Father.

So here we have Jesus himself saying that no one knows such things; not humans, angels or himself. Only the Father knows.

Matthew 24:42
Keep on the watch, therefore, because YOU do not know on what day YOUR Lord is coming.

Here Jesus himself is saying since we do not know when he is coming, to be on the watch! Yet, the WTBTS says and has been teaching that it KNOWS! How can they know what angels and Christ himself does not know? I simply refuse to look the other way on this as many Jehovah’s Witnesses I attempt to speak to do. They simply run away from it and cling loyally to what an organization teaches them concerning this as opposed to what Christ himself taught. This indicates to me that they hear Christ (proclaim him as Lord, Lord), but do not listen to him. Yet, concerning persons such as myself who truly seek to listen to Christ, the WTBTS labels such persons as apostate, rebels and disobedient! Not only that, they will use many words without substance to rationalize, justify, and explain why 1914 is true – despite reading what Christ himself has said.

Acts 1:7
He said to them: “It does not belong to YOU to get knowledge of the times or seasons which the Father has placed in his own jurisdiction.

Jesus teaches that concerning knowledge of dates (times and seasons), it does not belong to us to know. It belongs ONLY to the Father.

As you have seen from above, the prophetic teachings of the WTBTS were built upon a date that (1) Did not originate from the WTBTS and (2) something Christ never mentioned or taught. Everything taught upon the foundation of 1914 will be carried away when God’s flood (time of trouble) comes upon the world.

What does this mean for Jehovah’s Witnesses?

  • That The Appointed Times of the Nations did not end in 1914.
  • Christ did not return and take kingdom power in 1914. God has not made him king yet.
  • The last days did not begin in 1914. We are not in the last days.
  • All of the many publications disseminated by the WTBTS that teach 1914 are in the hands of millions and this teaching is not true. It is a man-made teaching.

I find it interesting how the WTBTS can articulate why there is no Trinity or Hellfire teaching. Yet, it refuses to do the same for the 1914 teaching. It is hypocritical of that organization to come down on those who teach the trinity and hellfire – for example – while it has it’s own brand-teaching: 1914; something neither God or Christ speaks of. But as I showed you, Jesus taught such dates are unknowable.

Faithful or Evil Slaves

Which type of slave to Christ (The Master) are we? A careful reading of Matthew 24:45-50 shows that it was the Evil Slaves who were into dates, times and seasons. The Faithful Slaves remembered what their Master Told them at Matthew 24:42:

Keep on the watch, therefore, because YOU do not know on what day YOUR Lord is coming.

Because they thought their Master was DELAYING, the Evil Slaves began to beat the Faithful Slaves. If the Evil Slaves felt that the Master was delaying, then they must have been expecting his return to his house at a certain time. Well, the WTBTS long before the 1914 date arrives, proclaimed that year as being the year that Christ would return. Therefore, the WTBTS was EXPECTING Christ’s return in that year. So to this very day, it teaches 1914 as year Christ returned as king and began ruling invisibly from heaven.

Their actions imitate the Evil Slave! They too were in expectation of that year… but when they felt he was delaying, they began to beat the Faithful Slaves who listened to the words of their Master (Matthew 24:42)

Persons such as myself consider myself a Faithful Slave of Christ. I listen to him and believe his word and teaching as given in Matthew 24:36, Matthew 24:42 and Acts 1:7.

As time progresses and as the things the WTBTS says will occur do not (especially concerning who they call the anointed remnant), then they – as an organization – will turn on persons such as myself who do not believe (or who cease to believe the 1914 teaching) and beat and lash them with words.

Its pride will be hurt because it has falsely and haughtily elevated itself to a position of being above error because it is “God’s Earthly Organization.” Something it had no business doing.

My urgent call is for my former Brother and Sisters to wake up from their slumber. Look about you, you are in captivity. Break away and do not enter into any religious organization. Come before your Master – Christ –  and listen to him. He is the truth and true rock-mass.

What I have written here is NOT because I wish religious organizations to fail. It does not matter what the religious organizations call themselves. What I write is to champion what Christ taught. Yet, somehow, so-called Christian religious organization has duped persons into thinking that “Christian-religious-organization” is the same as “teaching-Christ.” I find just the opposite. What I see is an actual – yet cunningly subtle – diverting persons away from listening to what Christ taught and duping them to listening to “The Bible” (instead of Christ) and listening to the particular religious organizations they belong to.

I gave the example of the WTBTS because it was the religious organization in which I was a member of for many years. It’s 1914 date is not something Christ taught. What is interesting the WTBTS will never come forward and say “Christ did not teach 1914.” Instead, they cleverly divert you away from that and say “The Bible” teaches it. And, I always say, then, “Who is it we are to be listening to The Bible or Christ?

I hope the reader can see the intentional and purposeful misleading and distortion of the truth here.

This applies to all religious organizations – ALL – not just the WTBTS.

There can be no organization claiming itself “God’s Earthly Organization.” That is something Christ never mentioned either; rather, it is a religious organization making that claim. Again, are we to listen to a religious organization or to the Christ?

There is so much that I can say, but I want the reader to notice the pattern in the world within the religious organization – especially the ones claiming to be for God and Christ – that they are diverting persons away from listening to what Christ taught. The end result of what they are teaching persons will be persons who will reject what Christ taught or did not teach in preference for what “The Bible” says and what “their” particular religious organization says.

And, for those of you who say, “How else can I learn about God and Christ if I do not read the Bible?” My answer to you is, “How did King Solomon become so wise? Was by reading a Bible?” “How were Christ’s disciples taught? By reading a Bible? They did not have “The Bible.” We learn about God and Christ by placing “faith” in them in that they are alive, though unseen. We ask God – through His only authorized channel, His Son – for His wisdom, understanding, and knowledge; and, we are to expect an answer “through the same channel we asked.” God does not answer prayer through humans, religious organizations or a book called the Bible. If He did, then Christ would not be “The Way.” Answers to our requests from God can only come from Him to us through his Son – and no other way.

That means, then, that we must have strong faith in God and Christ (both who are unseen to us) and to know that God and Christ are there. Sure, one can “see” a book. One can “see” a religious organization. What one can see does not require faith. It requires faith in that which we cannot see. Notice Hebrews 11:1:

Faith is the assured expectation of things hoped for, the evident demonstration of realities though not beheld.

Worship of the invisible one MUST be with spirit (as one invisible) and truth (through the one who is the truth, Christ):

Nevertheless, the hour is coming, and it is now, when the true worshipers will worship the Father with spirit and truth, for, indeed, the Father is looking for suchlike ones to worship him. God is a Spirit, and those worshiping him must worship with spirit and truth.

God is Invisible According to Col 1:15. So a Spirit is Invisible

If we substitute things that we can see such as The Bible, Crucifixes and other icons, and religious organizations for the things we cannot see (God and Christ), then we show a lack-of-faith in God and Christ and we will not listen to them. Instead, we will find ourselves listening to the very things that we can see.

What we can see has no foundation (no basis for faith) and when a strong flood comes, whatever is built upon that non-foundation will be swept away.

Our best and only hope is building upon that which we cannot see: God and His Christ and listen to what THEY say and teach.

Leave Them Alone

I see so many persons – almost always ex-Jehovah’s Witnesses – who have made it their life’s mission to “bad-mouth” Jehovah’s Witnesses and the things they are taught and believe. Many of them are angry and have axes to grind. and are relentless in their efforts to label the WTBTS as a cult or some other label in hopes that those labels will act as a repellent to any interested in that organization.

I have seen them on YouTube and many of them really appear dysfunctional, empty, lost and some mentally ill. Yet, such endeavors are foolish and unwise and unnecessary. And here is why:

Because if what the WTBTS – or any religious organization – teaches is from God, then there is nothing anyone can do to stop it. They would be fighting against God. Yet, if what the WTBTS – or any religious organization teaches – is NOT from God, it will fail.

Listen to what a Pharisee – Gamaliel said in this regard at Acts 5:34-39:

But a certain man rose in the Sanhedrin, a Pharisee named Gamaliel, a Law teacher esteemed by all the people, and gave the command to put the men outside for a little while. And he said to them: “Men of Israel, pay attention to yourselves as to what YOU intend to do respecting these men.  For instance, before these days Theu′das rose, saying he himself was somebody, and a number of men, about four hundred, joined his party. But he was done away with, and all those who were obeying him were dispersed and came to nothing. After him Judas the Galilean rose in the days of the registration, and he drew off people after him. And yet that man perished, and all those who were obeying him were scattered abroad. And so, under the present circumstances, I say to YOU, Do not meddle with these men, but let them alone; (because, if this scheme or this work is from men, it will be overthrown; but if it is from God, YOU will not be able to overthrow them;) otherwise, YOU may perhaps be found fighters actually against God.

Nothing I write here on e-Prophetic is an encouragement to stop the WTBTS – or any religious organization – from preaching, teaching or engaging in any work they do. I know I cannot stop what they do and neither would I want to. It is God who will bring to a halt work that is not from him – even if what I write here on e-Prophetic is not of God and Christ, it will be overthrown and it will fail. And, I would humbly accept GODS correction, not men who say to me that I should stop writing because THEY think what I am doing is wrong. That they bear this attitude tells me they fear something and it also tells me that they do not trust that God will put a halt to such works from anyone that is not from Him. Men and their religious organizations seek to move ahead on their own accord to halt such works.

More and more each day, I learn that truth is what so many within the religious organization think they possess; yet, what they have is a heavy stone with a name written on it: The name of THEIR religious organization or affiliation. The truth is not written on that stone and it is not within the chambers of their religious organizations. The truth is in a place not of mortar, glass, steel, and brick. The truth is in a place like a wilderness where there are no mortar, glass, steel, and brick. The truth – The Christ – is there, outside of organizations. No organization has been given to mankind. The Apostle Paul even said so at Hebrews 13:11-14:

For the bodies of those animals whose blood is taken into the holy place by the high priest for sin are burned up outside the camp. Hence Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered outside the gate. Let us, then, go forth to him outside the camp, bearing the reproach he bore, for we do not have here a city that continues, but we are earnestly seeking the one to come.

Notice where Christ IS in the above verse: Outside the camp, outside the city (organization) gates. Notice that his followers are not to GO INTO the camp (organization) but to GO OUT TO where Christ is outside the camp!

And, has a city (organization) come yet?

The Apostle Paul answers:

for we do not have here a city that continues, but we are earnestly seeking the one to come.

The city to come that will continue will be God’s Everlasting Kingdom, New Jerusalem that comes down out of heaven. The WTBTS is not New Jerusalem. (Revelation 3:12 and Revelation 21:2)

So the WTBTS – along with the rest of what is called by men – Christianity – will fail. None of them have houses built upon a solid rock-mass. They all sit upon proverbial pits that will swallow them whole when the “time of trouble” comes. Anything that comes up out of a pit and rests upon the sand is something not true and without foundation. Why do I mention this?

Because in the distant future, Satan will ascend out of an Abyss and he will bring up with him a Beast. This Beast will be a great house of governance over the entire earth after Christ’s future 1000 year kingdom ends. Notice what this Beast stands upon as a foundation at Revelation 13:1:

And it stood still upon the sand of the sea.

Earlier in this article, I mentioned Jesus’ parable about the man who built his house upon a solid rock-mass and the man who did not. The man who did not was likened to a foolish man who built his house upon the sand. When the rain and wind from a storm came, the house collapsed. (Matthew 7:26)

The Beast will stand upon a false foundation (sand). At that, the sand of the sea. So when God, when He chooses, to churn up the sea, the Beast (Satan’s Throne on Earth in future days) will collapse and be destroyed forever. That great throne of Satan will be something wondrous to behold and live in. The people within it will live in “peace and security” and cry out “Who is like the wild beast, and who can do battle with it.” Yet that great house will fall.

Even if those future days – as it is now – our only hope is not in the houses of religious organizations. They all sit upon the sand. Our only hope is to sit upon the solid rock-mass Christ himself and listen to what he has to say.

No one of importance. A disciple (student) of Christ apart from the established religious systems who reasons, thinks and concludes matters for myself. Something is not right with the state of religion in the world. The real dichotomy is that we live in a world so full of religion, yet is an evil, immoral, and dangerous place to live. A mental and spiritual separation from this world that Jesus said his kingdom is no part of is the first step to a "break-through" to freedom and entry into a much larger spiritual world where God and Christ resides and the wisdom, knowledge, and understanding of God can be accessed.
