I chose the image to the left as it shows how deep the lie has gone. Santa Claus is now being shown as being present at the birth of Jesus.(LOL)
December 25th is just around the corner and already millions are losing themselves in the commercial element of the season. Millions are setting up “Christmas Parties” where there will be drinking and revelry. Many just go along with the flow having no clue what Christmas is. Their reasoning is that it is just what people do on December 25. The date of December 25 has been defined for all of the world as being the birthday of The Son of God.
I ran across one website site that gave it’s answer to “What Is The True Meaning of Christmas?” It answered this way:
The true meaning of Christmas is love. John 3:16-17 says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” The true meaning of Christmas is the celebration of this incredible act of love.
The real Christmas story is the story of God’s becoming a human being in the Person of Jesus Christ. Why did God do such a thing? Because He loves us! Why was Christmas necessary? Because we needed a Savior! Why does God love us so much? Because He is love itself (1 John 4:8). Why do we celebrate Christmas each year? Out of gratitude for what God did for us, we remember His birth by giving each other gifts, worshipping Him, and being especially conscious of the poor and less fortunate.
The true meaning of Christmas is love. God loved His own and provided a way—the only Way—for us to spend eternity with Him. He gave His only Son to take our punishment for our sins. He paid the price in full, and we are free from condemnation when we accept that free gift of love. “But God demonstrated His own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).
When I read this answer I could not help but think how lost and misled people are. Let me tell you why?
Christmas was something unknown to Christ and his disciples. Yet, in the above answer you see Christmas linked to what Jesus said at John 3:16. Also you are cleverly duped into believing that there is a “Christmas Story.”
You are told that God became a man. Yet, at John 1:18 Jesus said That no man has ever seen God. (Yet, men have seen Jesus back when he walked the earth).
You are told that Christmas is love.
All of the above are lies. Yet, millions accept it all as truth.
None of this should be surprising to the true disciple of Christ because we know that the world is bathed in lies. Very little in the world today is light and truth.
I had a recent experience concerning whether or not a group of people who work together for a company should have a Christmas party. I saw displays of anger, accusations, selfishness and dislike of others. I could not help but think to myself, “My God, these people have lost it! They are fighting over a Christmas party! Have they forgotten what Christmas is supposed to represent?”
There was no concern about the teachings of Christ. It was a non-factor. All of the “peace and godwill towards men” stuff was out the back door.
I personally will have nothing to do with such a pagan “holiday.” Yet, I understand that many people do. Yet, many do not consider “Christ.” They see only “party, drinking and having a good time.”
While December 25 was not the birthday of Jesus, but if it were, look how he is being dishonored?
I am asked all the time, “Why don’t you join us in our Christmas party?” I usually will respond by saying “Why?”
Most will say because “It is Jesus’ birthday.”
I will say, “How do you know that and who told you this?”
They do not know and most do not want to know that it is all a lie because they prefer to keep their traditions intact.
Yet, the Son of God stated at John 14:6 that he is the truth. Therefore, his followers – one would think – would be in the business of the truth. But it is the lie that they prefer. They like the glitter and partying.
There is no sincerity in any of it.
One day out of the year is set aside to make pretense at being loving towards others. Yet, I witness almost everyday the very persons who believe in Christmas act towards others in a manner that is not like Christ.
It is men – as hard-headed and men are – who are driving this beast of deception and lies upon the world. I really get sad when I see people blindly greeting each other with “Merry Christmas” (not even know what it means) while millions of people in Africa, Asia and India are impoverished and starving. Where is your “Merry Christmas” to them?
If Jesus walked among us today, he would be with the poor and oppressed. Not sitting in lavishly decorated “Christmas” settings toasting everyone.
Many will defend tooth naile to keep their selfish traditions.
I am a for real person and I will tell it like it is. That is what bothers a lot of people who visit my website. But deep down inside they know what I am saying is true.
