What follows should not be taken as one harbouring malice towards Jehovah’s Witnesses. Any one who knows me and who has spoken to to me knows that I hold no such feelings towards Jehovah’s Witnesses or persons of any religious group. The reason why is because I to not see “the people” within any religious organization as the problem. I have come to understand and to view the world of mankind as Christ did, as Sheep without as shepherd. If anyone claiming to be a follower of Christ cannot do that, then they are not his disciples. They pay only lip service. Love of God’s creation – man – is a requirement to discipleship to Christ. Without such love, it will not be possible to overlook the shortcomings of others and freely forgive others as Christ did. Sadly, the world is divided up into religious groups and they use those divisions as an excuse to hate and even kill each other; even to make themselves special as if God is only with them and no one else. Many of them kill and slaughter and do so while claiming discipleship to Christ. They are all hypocrites and decieve themselves. Their worship is in vain. (Matthew 9:36, Matthew 5:44, John 13:34-35, Mark 7:6-8, Luke 23:34)
That which leads the masses today is not the True Shepherd, but many masquerading as shepherds to the people and thus misleading them to think, believe and conduct themselves in a non-spiritual way. Yet, they believe themselves spiritual. Rather, they are carnal as they obey and serve religious organizations which are man-made creations
What I write here is for those who are considering starting a study with Jehovah’s Witnesses or are already studying with Jehovah’s Witnesses with a view of making a dedication and getting baptized as one of them.
When I was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, I conducted hundreds of “Bible Studies.” I reiterate here that I was not disfellowshiped from the Watch Tower organization; I quietly left by disassociation. I did not leave angry or disgruntled as I had no reason to. I wasn’t being treated harshly or anything like that. I left because of some serious concerns about the things being taught from the podium, at conventions, and within the many publications. Something was wrong and it was gnawing at me.
Voicing these concerns to the Elders within the congregation would have put a spotlight on me and I would have been the subject of considerable watching so as not to infect other members with the same concerns I had.
So, I played along with the program as I had many responsibilities within the congregation and carried them out faithfully. Yet, I knew deep down inside that what I was teaching those I studied the Bible with was not the Bible; neither was I teaching them, Christ; but I was teaching Watch Tower publications and indoctrinating them in the way of the Watch Tower to be obedient to that organization and to be in reverent fear of it.

You see, the more I studied the publications (many times over) with those I studied with, the more the thought of, “This is nothing but organizational indoctrination” leaped out of the publication pages at me.
Below are some questions you should ask the Bible Study Conductor and seek satisfying answers to. Do not allow them to give you brush off answers. If what is claimed is the truth, then the Conductor should be able to tell you the truth. The answer you will most likely be given by Jehovah’s Witnesses is given in red. My response is given in black.
Who Will Be Saved?
Only those who enter into Jehovah’s organization.
As a part of the indoctrination of the Bible Study is to slowly and subtly get the Bible Study to accept the notion that the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society (WTBTS) is God’s spirit-directed organization. This not sprung on the Bible Study at the outset. It is gradually taught as the student progresses and is showing favorable progress in his/her study. Yet, the WTBTS response does not follow the course of what Christ taught. Christ did not condemn the adulterous woman at John 8:10-11; he promised a man who was not his follower paradise at Luke 23:43; and he asked forgiveness for his accusers, persecutors, and executioners at Luke 23:34. Those persons were not within some organization.
What about the billions of persons who lived before the arrival of Christ? What about the billions lived in the same time period as Jesus but who lived in distant parts of the earth and would have never heard his name or teachings? At Matthew 10:22, Jesus tells us who will be saved. he says:
And YOU will be objects of hatred by all people on account of my name; but he that has endured to the end is the one that will be saved.
Jesus uttered the above words to his disciples nearly two thousand years ago. Those men have been dead now for that same period of time. So how can they TODAY be objects of hatred by all people on account of Jesus’ name and be able to endure to the end? They cannot. Unless …
They are resurrected to live again on earth in the future. Jesus promised such a resurrection for all persons born since Adam (to include Adam). John 5:28-29.
In fact, it was for that reason that he was sent out of heaven to the earth: To give up his life for all of mankind. John 5:28:29 does not say that just those in an organization unknown to anyone in Jesus or his Apostles day are the only ones to be saved. Salvation to be granted eternal life can only come after all of mankind has been resurrected and having lived through Christs 1000 year kingdom over the earth. When that 1000 year kingdom ends, Satan is released from his prison (of 1000 years) and he will establish a throne on the earth. It is our faithful endurance through his Beastly throne is what will grant us salvation to eternal life. (Revelation 20:7 and Revelation 13:2 and Revelation 2:13)
Is The Bible The Word of God?
Yes, the Bible is the Word of God.
Witnesses will point to 2 Timothy 3:16 as proof text that the Bible is the Word of God. Yet, that is not what 2 Tim 3:16 says. It says that “All scripture is inspired of God.” It does not say Bible. The first Bible was printed in the mid-1400s and it was called the Gutenberg Bible. What the Apostle Paul wrote down at 2 Tim 3:16 was written around 65 C.E. So how can a book called (and named by Europeans) that appeared on the scene more than a thousand of years AFTER qualifying as scripture? Unless it was men themselves who decided for everyone else that The Bible is Scripture. And, that is exactly what happened. There was no such book called “The Bible” when the Apostle Paul wrote down what appears in 2 Tim 3:16.
So what is scripture? Scripture is anything that God says and it is written down. For example, what God says in Genesis 1:3 when God says, “Let light come to be” is Scripture because God said it and it was written down. If Adam, Eve, The Serpent, The Devil or others speak, it is not scripture.
If a Prophet repeats what God has given them to say and they write it down, it is scripture.
If Jesus speaks and it is written down, it is scripture. Why? Because he is God’s Word (The Word of God).
No book can be what Christ exclusively is. Long before there was a book called – by the European man – “The Bible,” who or what held that lofty title? How can a book that was given its name by Europeans; authorized by Europeans; made holy my Europeans; called Scripture by Europeans; and called The Word of God by Europeans, be The Word of God. Let’s me be frank here: Who is God? The man of European descent?
Well, I can undeniably tell you, he thinks he is! I am not kidding around here and I am being dead serious. The Most High God and Creator of the heavens and the earth has sent His only begotten Son to the earth and identified and authorized ONLY him as “His Word” (Word of God) and has instructed us to listen to that one. (Luke 9:35).
How then, can a book called the Bible all of sudden surface more than one thousand years after the ascension of Christ, be made the Word of God or share that lofty and holy title with Christ? It is because the man of European descent has made it so and has a large portion of the world (more than one-third of it) on complete “lock-down” with the lying belief that the Bible is The Word of God. He has established a religious system that he calls Christianity as his vehicle to launch massive waves of lies and to subdue and contain the inhabitants of the earth within her walls so that it will be very difficult for anyone within those walls to learn the glorious good news about God and Christ.
The Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society pushes The Bible (as the Word of God) and The Organization (really as a god) and those two things stand in a holy place where only The Most High God and His Son can occupy.
Test this: Observe Jehovah’s Witnesses in action and in conversation and notice the number of times the organization and the Bible are mentioned more than Christ. Notice the reverence given to eight or nine White men who make of the Governing Body. This same reverence (actually fear) is given to overseers to visit the congregations (Kingdom Halls).
Note: More recently an African American has been added to the elite and historically all White man’s club called the Governing Body. His name is Samuel Herd. I have met him and spoken with him on several occasions. I still see tokenism in the body. It is still predominated by White men. Yet, the organization claims itself an international brotherhood. This same pattern is seen in all of the major so-called Christian religious organizations; for some odd reason, they all feel the need to have at the top White men has leaders. This leadership role is tightly held and maintained as an “all White mans club).
When religious organizations teach that a book named and called by men The Bible is the Word of God, then those religious organizations are defying God and Christ and establishing themselves as God. For example, God choose, approved, authorized, and identified Christ as The Word of God and the one we are to listen to. (Luke 9:35 and Revelation 19:13)
On the other hand, it is men who choose, approved, authorized and identified The Bible as The Word of God. See the problem?
Therefore, our study should not be of the Bible. We should not be called Bible Students. We are to be students of Christ (Disciples).
See the clever and subtle way that the Watch Tower (and all of the other so-called Christian organizations) directs persons away from being students of Christ in preference to being students of the Bible?
The Bible has replaced Christ. The organizations that elevate the Bible to such a holy position have replaced God. Why? Because only God can place one in a holy position as He is holy.
Why Do You Preach Door To Door?
Matthew 24:14 says, “And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.”
First of all, notice how the Bible is being given credit for something Jesus said. I cannot overstate this enough. The whole idea is to steal away from Christ the things he says and giving it to a book. Thus, a book can be consulted in areas where Christ is not speaking or teaching.
What Is The Good News of the Kingdom?
It is good news about the paradise to come.
That is not an answer. Notice that what the Good News is, is not explained. What is the Good News message? Where exactly is it written in the Bible? It is a brush off response. The fact of the matter is that no one can produce out of “The Bible” what the Good News message is. No one. Why? Because it is not there and I have written extensively that God has not given that message to anyone to preach; I have written extensively that no human will be entrusted with that message to preach it; and I have written (and shown scripturally) that ONE ANGEL will be given the Good News message to declare to a future world, not this one.
The Bible student is indoctrinated to think that going door to door and house to house and placing Watch Tower literature, making return visits with the hope of establishing Bible studies is preaching the Good News of the Kingdom. All of that amounts to exactly what it is: Placing literature with persons. Many persons do not even read the literature. And, to be honest, most Jehovah’s Witnesses do not read them either. The new Bible student will be zealous and eager and will gobble up all he/she can because it will all be new to them. What they are taught will feel good, sound good, taste good and sound good. All of that goodness will cause them to conclude that it is all the truth. Yet, what will be happening to them will be a subtle diversion away from the truth (Christ’s teachings John 14:6) and to following Watch Tower code, rules, and regulations.
Task the Bible Study Conductor to show you the Good News of the Kingdom message that MUST be preached. He will be able to do it. So you should conclude that what is being preached by the WTBTS is not that message.
Show the Bible Study Conductor to explain Revelation 14:6. This scripture shows that an angel – not any human or angels (plural) – will declare the Good News. I maintain that this angel is the Faithful Witness, Christ himself. He is the only one qualified to declare to the world – as a witness to it – the Good News of the Kingdom. (Revelations 1:5)
Jehovah’s Witnesses will even try to explain away Revelation 14:6 as being an angel or angels flying in mid-heaven directing humans on earth to knock on doors. This is really stretching it as Revelation 14:6 is clear as to who will declare that message (which has not been given yet).
And I saw another angel flying in midheaven, and he had everlasting good news to declare as glad tidings to those who dwell on the earth, and to every nation and tribe and tongue and people.
Where Did The 1914 Date Come From?
The prophecy of the seven times in Daniel shows the Gentile times started in 607 B.C.E. and ended in 1914.
The 1914 teaching is a very pivotal teaching within the Watch Tower organization in which all other prophetic utterances that come out of that organization hinge upon. The 1914 (November) date is the year in which the Watch Tower teaches that Jesus returned and took [his] kingdom power and is now reigning as earth’s king invisibly from heaven. The 1914 date is also the date in which the Watch Tower claims that the Appointed Times of the Nations (Gentile Times) ended and Christ’s kingdom began. It is also the year, according to the Watch Tower that the last days began. So, according to the Watch Tower, Jesus has been present and we have been in the last days for almost 100 years.
First of all the question is where did the 1914 date come from, not how it was derived. Most Jehovah’s Witnesses cannot walk you through the process of how the 1914 date was derived without the assistance of consulting one of their publications.
Secondly, most Jehovah’s Witnesses are not aware the 1914 date did not originate with the WTBTS. It originated with the Second Adventist in the 1800s. International Bible Students founder Charles Taze Russell was a Second Adventist (and a contributing editor of their monthly magazine) and when he split from the Second Adventist movement, he adopted the 1914 teaching when he founded his International Bible Students Association. The Watch Tower teaches that all truth comes through a Faithful and Discreet Slave and has since 33 CE. Well, was the Second Adventist movement – more specifically Nelson Barbour, the man C.T. Russell studied under – a faithful slave? The Watch Tower would answer no to that question since it does not recognize any other organization as God’s Organization other than the Watch Tower. Yet, the most important teaching of the Watch Tower is the 1914 teaching and it did not originate with the Watch Tower. That is why this information cannot be found within any of the many Watch Tower publications and has been kept carefully hidden from members in the congregations.
Direct the Bible Study Conductor to three scriptures: Matthew 24:36, Matthew 24:42 and Acts 1:7 and ask him if he sees a direct conflict with what Jesus said concerning his return? Jesus said in Matthew 24:42 that …
Keep on the watch, therefore, because YOU do not know on what day YOUR Lord is coming.
If Jesus says that no one knows when he will return, why is the Watch Tower teaching that THEY KNOW? Do not let the conductor off the hook because he will try to move you away from these scriptures. Task him to explain why the Watch Tower is saying it has knowledge that Jesus says that even he himself (or angels) do not have?
While you are at it, direct the Bible Study Conductor to the parable of the faithful and evil slave at Matthew 24:45-51 (all in the same context) and ask the Bible Study Conductor which of the two slaves does the Watch Tower appear to imitate? It was the evil slave who was concerned about dates and times because he was “expecting” the Master to arrive on a certain date. Is that not what the Watch Tower did? It published long before the year 1914 arrived that the Master would return on that date? (Don’t let the Bible Study Conductor get away from answering Matthew 24:42)
Yet, it was the faithful slave who was not concerned about dates. He remembered what his Master told him at Matthew 24:42 and remains watchful to this very day. (I am such a slave). The Watch Tower beats persons like me by labeling me an apostate. Anyone sticking close to Christ’s teachings will be beaten by the world. And, 1914 is not something Christ would have taught given what he said in the three scriptures I provided above.
The Watch Tower claims itself as God when it says it knows what only God can know.
What Is The Sign Jesus’ Disciples Asked About At Matthew 24:3?
Jesus said that there would be nations rising against nations and kingdoms against kingdoms, food shortages, earthquakes, true Christians will be hated by everyone, false prophets, and the good news of the kingdom will be preached.
The Watch Tower calls this a composite sign. (A made up word). First of all look at the details. Jesus’ disciples did not ask him for signs (multiple events), but a sign (a single event). Secondly, it would not be nations and kingdoms (plural) rising against each other, but a single nation and kingdom going up another kingdom and nation.
The Good News of the Kingdom message will not be given to humans to declare so any such claims that it is being preached today is a false claim. (Revelation 14:6). It will be an angelic announcement given in a very distant time period where there will be one kingdom and nation on the earth and that kingdom will do spiritual battle with the one that comes down: God’s Kingdom. This battle is called Armageddon.
So nation rising against nation and kingdom against kingdom, food shortages, earthquakes, true Christians will be hated by everyone, false prophets, and the good news of the kingdom will be preached are multiple events and are NOT “The Sign.” The sign is given at Matthew 24:30:
And then the sign of the Son of man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will beat themselves in lamentation, and they will see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
Notice that this sign appears AFTER the things the Watch Tower claims are the signs. Also, notice where this sign is seen? In heaven. Not on earth. Also, notice that the sign is with relation to Christ coming. And how does he come? With power and great glory. If he comes with great power and great glory, that means that he comes as a king. That also means that the sign is seen in heaven (that is, by those who reside in heaven) is his coronation has king by his Father. It is in heaven – where the Father, Christ, and the angels are – that Christ is given his crown. No one on earth will see or witness that event. That is why we are told this sign is seen in heaven.
Matthew 24:30 does say that all of the tribes of the earth will beat themselves in lamentation and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds. If the Son of Man is on the clouds when he comes, no one will see him with their literal eyes. This seeing is a perception. That ALL of the tribes of the earth will “see” him in this way as coming can only mean one thing: ALL of the tribes of the earth will have been resurrected by Christ as he promised at John 5:28-29.
Upon opening their eyes again after being dead (even Adam), they will hear the voice of the one who resurrected them. It is in this way, they will know who it was who resurrected them.
Why Does The Watch Tower Disfellowship Persons?
For gross sins like adultery and apostasy and not being repentant of those sins. Another response you might get is: We do not disfellowship anyone, persons really disfellowship themselves for not being repentant.
Let me state here that the disfellowshipment policy of the Watch Tower organization is a containment and control mechanism. It serves to ensure that no one ventures outside the circle of teaching of the Watch Tower. Those persons who do engage in wrong doing such as adultery, apostasy or any other wrong should not be condemned but tolerated and forgiven. Jesus showed this in the example of the adulterous woman (who he did not condemn), the man he promised paradise and the persons he asked the Father to forgive. (John 8:10-11, Luke 23:43, and Luke 23:34) There is no record of even Jesus condemning or shunning Judas Iscariot.
Shunning others for any reason shows an organization making itself God. This is one of the most difficult things to see within any religious organization. They stand before mankind and make themselves God over the masses.
I can state that in public, most Jehovah’s Witnesses will not condemn the persons they are trying to bring into the Kingdom Halls. Yet, it is a quite different matter in private. They can be just as judgmental and condemnatory as persons of the other so-called Christian denominations. I would even venture to say, “Even more so.” Why is that?
Because the Watch Tower views all persons who are not Jehovah’s Witnesses as “Worldy Persons.” (This is an expression made up by the organization and used freely in speech by Jehovah’s Witnesses). Worldly persons, according to the Watch Tower organization, will lose out on the prospect of eternal life if they do not act quickly and join the organization as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Christ did not teach that. Christ taught that salvation is only within him, not any human organization. (See how an organization has usurped what Christ is).
The Jehovahs Witness will always primarily refer to what “The Bible” says rather than what “Christ” said or did in such matters. One can even visit the official Watch Tower website and what immediately jumps out at you is that “The Bible” is what is being held in high regard (for the reasons I gave above). And, one also see predominately clean cut White people taking the lead in what they call preaching the good news. Yes, you will see from time to time Blacks, Asians and Hispanics on the website and within the publications, but that is not their images that the Watch Tower seeks to present to the world; rather, it is a White clean-cut image that it wants to portray.
All direction about what is to be taught, what goes their many publications, and dress and grooming standards come from the White men who make of the Governing Body and it filters down the chain. Common sense should prompt anyone willing to be brave enough to think about it to ask, “What do the White men who have long predominated the Governing Body know about Black people, Asians, Hispanics, etc?” “What do they know about women? Women of different races? They have no true appreciation. All they know is White people. For example, if a Black man or Black woman were to become a Jehovah’s Witness, and lets say they dressed and groomed themselves “traditionally Black or African,” that dress and grooming standard will be eventually stripped away from them and they will be made to adopt and accept a White Anglo Saxon Protestant Saxon dress and grooming standard.
The White image is everything to the Watch Tower organization. It is by design that the many publications within that organization portray Adam, Eve, Angels, Jesus, The Prophets, The Apostles and others as White people. It is the image that it seeks to portray of the organization and God and Christ.
New “Bible Studies” are quickly exposed to these images when they begin studying and start attending the meetings. It is all part of the subtle (and powerful) indoctrination. Thus, by the person has decided to make a dedication and get baptized, they would have already been “blindsided” not to view or question such “White-washed” images and portrayals. In fact, they will give them little to no thought and will dismiss such portrayals as insignificant and not worthy of discussion and will defend them. Even Blacks, Asians, and Hispanics who progress to dedication and baptism will not question them. By the time they have reached the dedication and baptism stage, their mind has already been taken control of and will feel it a sort of betrayal to question the organization.
I can state with absolute certainty as I have had the privilege to travel all over the world: Where ever there is Christianity in any form, there is a White leadership present. As an African American currently living in West Africa, I see this so pronouncedly. I ask myself, “In a land where there is all Black people, why is the White man over here and why has he placed himself in a position of leadership with regard what he calls Christianity?” One or two White men will stand in leadership and authority positions over thousands of African people and the African people will revere them!
Yesterday, I borrowed a co-workers car to go into town. He is an African who has lived here all of his life. He is one of a few who can afford a car. When I entered his car the first thing that struck me were the pictures he had hanging over his mirror of Jesus and the Virgin Mary. Of course, they were White people.
He takes offense when I discuss such things with the other Africans here. But this same offense is taken by many Blacks in the United States and Europe who are Jehovah’s Witnesses when asked about those same portrayals within their publications.
Very few are asking why has someone arrogated themselves to do such a thing? I am one of the relative few who questions and challenges this. I see the danger and effect such false portrayals have had on people of color all over the world: They are being subdued, contained and misled.
The religious power structures who do such a thing, know this. They know exactly what they are doing. As stated before, that leadership is White men. They have an agenda and it is a lie and deceptive one being presented as truth.
Once again, by shunning others for any reason shows an organization making itself God. This is one of the most difficult things to see within any religious organization. They stand before mankind and make themselves God over the masses.
Why does the baptismal vow identify me as a Jehovah’s Witness and not a disciple of Christ? Why does the baptismal vow associate me with an organization rather than with God and Christ? Why is the holy spirit not mentioned in the baptismal vow, but instead Gods spirit-directed organization?
What are you talking about? You just have to follow the organizations lead in this.
Quite frankly, most Jehovah’s Witnesses have never thought about this and are completely blindsided when asked. So logically, any answer you get will be made up on the fly.
The baptismal vow all who have been indoctrinated to make a dedication can be found in the June 1, 1985 Watchtower magazine, page 30. That dedication is in two parts and close examination of it reveals some very subtle and disturbing things that reveal that it is an organization that has taken the place of God and Christ. It is a false God and a false Messiah:
On the basis of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, have you repented of your sins and dedicated yourself to Jehovah to do his will?
The second is:
Do you understand that your dedication and baptism identify you as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in association with God’s spirit-directed organization?
Having answered yes to these questions, candidates are in a right heart condition to undergo Christian baptism.
Notice that the Watch Tower is asking that one repents of their sins as if it has the power to give one’s sins with a view of them being granted eternal life. Suppose the person says in response, “No I have not repented of my sins because I am not perfect and will probably sin many times before I die?”
It is the second part of the vow that is most interesting because within it you can see – if you look close enough – that the organization is saying that it is The Way, The Truth, and The Life. All of the things Jesus said he was.
The dedication is to an organization, not to Christ. The identification is to being a Jehovah’s Witness, not an identification and attachment to Christ. The association (membership) is with an organization – claiming itself spirit-directed, and not a membership or attachment to Christ.
That only such a baptism makes one a true worshiper of God. Jesus said that he is the way … and that no one comes to the Father but by him.
The organization of the Watch Tower claims itself as “The Truth” because it is spirit-directed. In other words, all of their teachings and all of the information appearing in their publications come to them from God through Christ and then to the organization and then to us. Seems to me that an organization has inserted itself in between men and Christ. It is common to hear Jehovah’s Witnesses use the expression, “Are you in the truth?” What they mean by this is, “Are you a dedicated baptized Jehovah’s Witness.” If you answer “Yes” they will not view you as “worldly.”
The organization also claims that all dedicated and baptized within it exist in a spiritual paradise. (The Life). Yet, Jesus spoke of his paradise – one yet to come.
Here is the interesting part: If those dedicated and baptized fail to adhere to the many rules and regulations within the organization or commits some wrong, s/he can he just as easily kicked out (or pressured to leave) as quickly as they joined. Yet, Jesus never condemned anyone. Never.
The Watch Tower ALWAYS references others in the Bible as dismissing others from among them as justification for their practice of disfellowshipping (shunning) persons. What they have failed to do is listen to Christ and the example he set. Personally, I can care less about what The Apostle Paul or one the other Apostles said. It is what Christ says is what matters and by making the Bible the Word of God is the biggest mistake that has been made; because it is being listened to instead of Christ. (Wonder why so many revere and listen to the Pope. The practice of listening to Apostles rather, who were imperfect men too, rather than Christ is a grave mistake).
Yet, by shunning and dismissing persons is a condemning of them. Most Jehovah’s Witnesses are fearful of being put out of the organization because they really believe that they will lose their lives. They have put their faith and trust in an organization of men (White men) as if they hold the keys of life and death. This is the true danger of joining any religious organization. People really have been misled to believe that without membership to a religious organization, they will not get eternal life.
If they believe that, then they are saying that the “religious organization” is the way, the truth and the life and no one comes to the Father (the life-giver) but by them.
Jesus foresaw the coming of a form of religion – that would come on the basis of his name – and take such control over the masses and mislead them. At Matthew 24:4-5:
Look out that nobody misleads YOU; for many will come on the basis of my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will mislead many.
Most Jehovah’s Witnesses Are Innocent
This might appear strange to many who read my articles, but I really believe that most Jehovah’s Witnesses are innocent. Like children, they are only doing as the parent organization directs them. I use the analogy of a small child using the N-Word towards Black people. Do I fault the child or do I fault the one who taught the child to use that expression?
Eventually, children mature. Some retain the teachings of the parent. Others will realize the error and will come to know why it is wrong to use it. It is those who remain child-like. That is one of the primary purposes of any religious organization: To keep its membership kindergarten-level. Because a person studies out of the many Watch Tower publications does not mean they progress to a mature state. They only mature to what that religious organization teaches but remain child-like with regard to their perceptive powers. They are just drinking a different kind of milk.
The Apostle Paul at Hebrews 5:13-14 had this to say:
For everyone that partakes of milk is unacquainted with the word of righteousness, for he is a babe. But solid food belongs to mature people, to those who through use have their perceptive powers trained to distinguish both right and wrong.
If you are thinking about becoming a Jehovah’s Witness, realize that you will be committing a type of adultery as you will be marrying yourself to an organization and not to Christ. In fact, this applies to membership with any religious organization.
Know that from the moment you sit down to study, your indoctrination begins. You will be given books and magazines to study, You will be given the questions and answers to them. Notice what I just said. YOU will be given the questions. The questions will not be YOURS. In time, you will NOT formulate YOUR OWN questions or ask questions outside the ones given to you in the publications! Now think about this:
If you cease to ask questions outside the defined Watch Tower circle, then that means that your faculty of thinking has been taken (stolen) away from you. One has to think in order to ask a question of his own.
To take away what the Creator has given us all – the ability to reason, think and question – is a crime and it is called thievery. It is an even worse crime to prevent others from questioning and an ever worse one to punish them for doing so.
So be careful, you are about to make yourself dependent – like a child – to an organization. And, you will be sucking at its breast (feeding on its teachings) and never maturing. You will be told to always depend upon the feeding of the organization. That is just a polite way to say that, “If you feed on anything else other than what we provide for you – and if we find out – you will be punished (beaten) in a proverbial sense.
Children naturally learn and mature by asking questions. In time, they no longer dependent on the parent to provide for them and feed them. They and provide and feed themselves. (Think for themselves).
My beating: I quietly left the Watch Tower organization by disassociation. This came as a shock to many as there was no indication. I was well liked within the organization and had many congregational responsibilities. The White Brothers (Elders) watched me closely because I was an anomaly. I was always full of probing questions, but I never crossed the Watch Tower line. I would say things to make the White Brothers think and then I would back off. Early on I saw how they were trying to groom me to have a White mentality and I resisted it because I believe in individuality and appreciation for all races in the human family and it would be wrong for one race to impose itself upon another.
Yet, it was primarily the 1914 teaching that caused be to separate from the Watch Tower. It was a no-brainer for me. The Watch Tower was teaching that it knows what Jesus says that he did not know. Thus, the Watch Tower had placed itself above Christ. Not only that, it has placed itself as God as only God knows when Christ would return. I submit three Scriptures. In all of them, Jesus is speaking.
Concerning that day and hour nobody knows, neither the angels of the heavens nor the Son, but only the Father.
Keep on the watch, therefore, because YOU do not know on what day YOUR Lord is coming.
It does not belong to YOU to get knowledge of the times or seasons which the Father has placed in his own jurisdiction.
I am no mindless robot. I cannot listen to an organization above Christ? I know that if I remained in the Watch Tower organization, I would remain mindless. I would be “out of my natural mind.” I also know that it would not be wise to go into ANY religious organization as God and Christ are not within any of them. God and Chrisexistts without of them. There is a much larger space – a spiritual place – in which God and Christ exists. One can only gain access to that space. It is within us and religion has closed it off and prevented many from entering into that place. It is the place we enter into when we pray to the Father – in private. It is a vast and endless expanse. The Master is in that place too. This place cannot be seen with the physical eye. But with our perceptive eye. It is in that place that the Father can only be worshiped. Not within buildings or with religious organization. Jesus said at John 4:23-24:
Nevertheless, the hour is coming, and it is now, when the true worshipers will worship the Father with spirit and truth, for, indeed, the Father is looking for suchlike ones to worship him. God is a Spirit, and those worshiping him must worship with spirit and truth.
My loyalty is to my God (The Father) and my Master, Christ Jesus, not religious organization.
