When a piece of complicated machinery continues to show the result of a flaw, what do the company that manufactured that piece of machinery do? Well, usually they will recall it to fix it or stop manufacturing it all together.
If a piece of machinery causes others harm or even death, the more prudent thing to do – instead of putting a band-aid fix on it – is to scrap it altogether.
This analogy fits what Scripture teaches concerning the assured fate of all of mankind. But this is a good thing.
What Will Happen To All of Mankind?
Most of us do not like to hear about doomsday scenarios. What I am about to present here is not a doomsday scenario, but actually very good news.
Back in the Garden of Eden, The Most High God told his Son Adam what would be his outcome if he disobeyed Him and ate from The Tree of The Knowledge of Good and Bad. Jehovah said at Genesis 2:16-17:
And the LORD God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.
Well, we all know that Adam did eat from that tree. His sentence?
To Adam he said, “Because you listened to your wife and ate fruit from the tree about which I commanded you, ‘You must not eat from it,’“Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat food from it all the days of your life. It will produce thorns and thistles for you, and you will eat the plants of the field. By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return.”
“For dust you are and to dust you will return.” Death. Adam was to die. That is what God told him would happen to him. So Adam and that which came from him – his wife Eve – would grow old, get sick and die. There is more.
That all of the human race came from Adam and Eve, we inherited this curse of sin and death from Adam. That is why we grow old, get sick and die.
Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned. (Romans 5:12)
No where in Scripture are we told that this curse has been lifted. We all come from Adam. Let me explain something. This is a major misconception that if one accepts Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, they will have everlasting life. That is not what the Scriptures – more specifically – Jesus teaches. Their are millions of persons today who have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior. They even say that they are “born again.” Are they living forever or are they dying? They are dying. Why? Because they, too, are Adams offspring. Therefore, even though people say for themselves what and who they are (born again Christians), does not erase or remove the curse of death and sin we all inherited from Adam.
What Jehovah told Adam in the Garden of Eve has an immense consequence upon the world of mankind than many realize. All of these man-made doctrines and teachings about accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior; or being wisped away in a rapture; or being “associated” with a particular organization in order to have life are all escapist-smoke -screen teachings that speak and teach contrary to what is spoken of in Scripture. These teachings are designed to keep you from coming to the hard reality that all of mankind must die. It has to if it is to be born-again (resurrected), born anew not from Adam. If not born from Adam in the future new birth (resurrection), then there will be no sin upon this new creature, man. Notice what Jesus says concerning the resurrection at John 5:28-29:
Do not be amazed at this, for a time is coming when all who are in their graves will hear his voice and come out—those who have done what is good will rise to live, and those who have done what is evil will rise to be condemned.
Notice that Jesus did not say “only those who accept him as Lord and Savior” will be resurrected – no – he said all in their grave would be. No distinction is made between a believer or non-believer. It is only men who make distinctions, not Jesus.
Also, notice how the Apostle describes how it will be in the resurrection at 1 Cor 15:42-44:
So will it be with the resurrection of the dead. The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable; it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power;it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.
The body that had died was a body that was perishable. In other words, one that was sin-ridden and if allowed to continue, would have perished. In other words, destroyed without any hope of being resurrected. Stated frankly, the person would not even exist.; not even as a dead person. Yet, notice the condition of all of those resurrected: They are raised imperishable. In other words, resurrected with bodies that have no Adamic-inherited sin in them. If all of mankind is raised from the dead with bodies that have no sin in them, then they cannot die again. Why? Because it is sin that causes death! Is this not what the Scriptures teach at Romans 6:23?
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Do not other Scriptures also backup what is stated a 1 Cor 15:42-44? Yes their are! At Romans 6:7, the Apostle Paul explicitly teaches that when a person dies, their very deaths are full “payment” for their sin. Thus, at death, their sins are “acquitted” or “freed” from them. Notice how Romans 6:7 reads:
Because anyone who has died has been set free from sin.
Notice that this Scripture says “anyone” who “has died.”
I don’t care what the religious systems and organizations teach, God, Jesus and those taught by him – his Apostles – teach that:
- All of mankind must and will die.
- That all of mankind will be resurrected. (implying all of mankind must die)
Because of Adam, all born since Adam, has either died and are in their graves to this day or remain yet to die.
Yes, all of us – all of mankind – must and will die. So why are so many denominations within Christianity (Christendom or whatever one wishes to call it), teach doctrines that steer around this? There are two reasons why:
- The religious systems and their many organizations are doing the exact same thing that the people who settled in the “Valley plain in the land of Shinar” in Nimrods day. What is that? Making a “celebrated name for themselves.” This name is the titles these religious groupings take upon themselves. Their distinguishing marks are their particular organizational teachings. Their mission is to gather men and women into their particular religious denominations to unify them under their own particular umbrella of organizational control over their membership. In other words, for fear they “may be scattered over all the surface of the earth.” (Genesis 11:4)
To date, there are over 33,000 denominations who all claim to be of God and Christ and all of whom have different and contending believes and teachings about God and Christ and all of whom have a unique name that they have given themselves. So, the first reason why the many “celebrated name” denominations steer around the teaching that all of mankind must die, is because they have their own unique “celebrated” or “proclamation” about God and Christ.
- The second reason is the most obvious of all. Since mankind has gathered to itself it’s own teachers and doctrines and has created it’s many “celebrated names,” it does not really listen to God and Christ, even though they claim they do. I will show this in a moment. (Luke 9:35)
How The Many Denominations Steer Around The Teaching That All of Mankind Must Die?
I am going to use the examples of two contending religious systems and organizations: Christendom and The Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society (who does not consider itself a part of Christendom). First Christendom.
Prevalent among Christendom are the teachings of eternal hell-fire for the non-believer; heaven for the believer; and within many of her denominations, the teaching of a rapture where all of Christs followers will “meet the Lord in the air” and be taken to heaven. So how do these teachings steer away from what God, Jesus and his Apostles taught about all of mankind dying and all of mankind being resurrected?
If the non-believer goes into an eternal hell-fire at death – this being his punishment – what need would there be for him to be resurrected? So this man-made teaching of an eternal hell-fire is in opposition (or anti) to what Christ said concerning all who have died. (John 5:28-29)
Likewise, if the believer – at death – is taken immediately to heaven, what need is there for a resurrection if the person is no longer in their graves and in heaven. So this man-made teaching is also in opposition (or anti) to what Christ said concerning all who have died. (John 5:28-29)
If there is to be an event where Christs followers are “Raptured” into heaven, then the thought of a resurrection is bypassed. The idea of a rapture gives those who believe in it a privilege that even Jesus did not have. What was that? Entry into heaven without having to die. The rapture teaching implies not dying in order to enter into heaven but a “being changed.” The very idea of a rapture says that the slave is greater than the master. The master had to die in order to enter into heaven but the slave does not? Scripture teaches that no slave is greater than his Master. (John 13:16)
So this idea of rapture is also in opposition (or anti) to what Christ said concerning all who have died. (John 5:28-29). Scripture does not speak or teach of a rapture, men do. What they think is a rapture in 1 Thessalonians 4:1-3-18 is a discussion about, not a rapture, but the resurrection hope of those who had already died.
So one see strong evidence that Christendom has placed itself in opposition to what Jesus taught concerning all who have died and what he says concerning the resurrection of all persons.
Next, I will use the example of another organization that has made a “celebrated name” for itself, The Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society. How does it, just like all of Christendom, show itself in opposition to what God, Christ, and his Apostles taught about the resurrection of all of the dead and that all of mankind must die?
The Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society teaches that millions living today will not have to die. A 128 page booklet published back in 1920 by this organization entitled, “Millions Now Living Will Never Die” expressed the teaching that people do not need to die. That they can escape death.
What is more interesting is that this booklet was published back in 1920 and the millions born back in 1920 would be in their early nineties today. But that is not the point I wanted to make. The point I want to make is that the idea of millions living will never die is in opposition to what Scripture teaches.
My question is: How can the stain of sin and death be removed from anyone – born of Adam – if they do not die and are resurrected? Did Jesus have that experience? Why would his slaves not have to die when he did? Are his slaves greater than he?
Additionally, it was the Serpent in the Garden of Eden who spread the lie that mankind would not die. Eve, was mankind. She was from the man Adam. She was of his kind. Yet, what did the Serpent tell her at Genesis 3:4:
You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman.
This is exactly what the Watch Tower and Bible and Tract Society is teaching, that if certain conditions are met, then one will not die.
When the Serpent told the woman Eve this, it was in opposition to what God told Adam and Adam passed on to Eve.
Likewise, the teaching “Millions Now Living Will Never Die” is also in opposition to what God and His Christ has spoken on the subject.
So both Christendom and The Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society have saturated the earth with teachings that are really in opposition to teachings of God and His Christ and the ones Christ taught, his Apostles. Why?
To not face up to the reality that all of mankind must die. No distinctions. And, that all of mankind will be resurrected. No distinctions.
These denominations seek to divide Christ up and usurp him for themselves. What to I mean by this?
They teach that one must join them because they are teaching the truth and the other denominations are not. They teach Christ divided. All of them.
The fact of the matter is, is that Christ did not tell his followers to attach themselves or become members (disciples) of religious organizations. At no time in his three-and-a-half year ministry did he direct his disciples to set up an organization or organizations. At no time during his three-and-a-half year ministry did he tell his followers that they were to be known as Christians. Establishment of organizations and titles such as “Christian, Christians, and Christianity” did not surface until after Christ ascended.
Neither do we see overwhelming evidence of Christs Apostles setting up organizations or even calling themselves Christians. The title Christians was a title outsiders gave them, not a title they gave themselves.
Very much today how Seventh Day Adventists and Jehovah’s Witnesses – for example – view themselves in such a way, but many outside those organizations give them a title such as “cult.” A title that oftentimes sticks. Though, the affixing of such derogatory titles is unfair and unkind. A cult, by today’s definition, is a religious organization that does not agree with the one calling the other a cult.
How Will Mankind Be Fixed?
The only way the defect of sin and death in all of mankind can be fixed is by all of mankind being reborn again. If all of mankind has to be reborn (resurrected from the dead to life again), then all of mankind must die first in order to be reborn.
Jehovah sent his Son to pave the way to make this rebirth possible. The Most High God sent Jesus to give up his life as a sacrificial lamb for all of mankind ever born since Adam – that is everyone. Jesus took upon himself – at his death – not the sins of those who would accept him, but the sins of the whole world.
So, when Jesus died, Romans 6:7 applied to those sins – the sin of the whole world. The sin of the whole world where acquitted. So when the whole world dies (that is, any in it) and are resurrected, they will have no sin on them. Thanks to Jesus Christ.
It is for that reason Jesus could say at John 5:28-29 that all in their graves will come out of them.
What is most often overlooked by all religious organization claiming to be of God and Christ is the demand Christ placed on his followers to forgive others an unlimited number of times. Why? Because he forgives us an unlimited number of times. Not to forgive others means a condemnation of them to destruction. Yet, Jesus demanded – no commanded – that we forgive others without limit. Even our enemies.
Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?” Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times. (Matthew 18:21-24)
Do not be stumbled over the expression “brother or sister” in this Scripture. Many love to misapply this to mean those who believe as they do. No, that is not what this means. All of us come from Adam and Eve. We are all brothers and sisters whether one wants to believe it or not. That is a fact.
Additionally, Jesus showed that this forgiveness was to be extended to those not like us and to those most difficult to love. Did Jesus not ask forgiveness for those who plotted to take his life; ask forgiveness for those who pierced him and beat him; and ask forgiveness for those who executed him?
So, Jesus’ sacrificial death was for all of mankind. It could not possibly be for only those who believe in him because that would discount the billions who lived before him and even the billion who lived on earth when he lived but who lived in distant quarters of the earth. This is something the many denominations and even The Watch Tower Society hem and haw about. Why? Because they all want it to be as “they” say, not as Jesus says it is to be.
The flaw in mankind can only be fixed by his death and assured resurrection; and, that resurrected mankind having to enter into and go through Jesus’ 1000 year definite reign over the earth where mankind will be taught properly by him and be restored back to their Creator. (Satan is abyssed during that 1000 years).
