There has been – and still is – much discussion about UFOs, extraterrestrials, or visitors to the earth by alien beings outside the periphery of the planet earth.
Many persons believe that the earth will one day be revisited or invaded by beings from other worlds. Some believe that these beings are watching and studying us. While others do not believe any of this at all.
What do Scriptures really say on the subject of the existence of beings outside the earth and of a future visitation by outsiders?
The Scriptures have not been silent concerning visitation of beings not of the earth in the past. Nor are they silent concerning a visitation of beings in the future. But it is not as Ufologists and many others believe it to be.
Visitation In Times Past
Back in the days of Noah’s day, we read that the “sons of the true God” began to notice that the “daughters of men” were good looking and took them as wives. Genesis 6:1-2 reads this way:
Now it came about that when men started to grow in numbers on the surface of the ground and daughters were born to them, then the sons of the [true] God began to notice the daughters of men, that they were good-looking; and they went taking wives for themselves, namely, all whom they chose.
These sons of the true God were angels. We know from Scripture that angels are spirit creatures – that is, not made up of flesh and blood as we are; they have spiritual bodies. We also know that angels are invisible and cannot be seen in their true form by humans. We also know from Scripture that angels are holy.
That angels are spirit creatures and live in heaven can be seen from Hebrews 1:14 and 1 Kings 22:21:
Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation? ; Finally, a spirit came forward, stood before the LORD and said, ‘I will entice him.
That angels do not have physical bodies and live in heaven can be seen from reading in Mark 12:25 and 1 Corinthians 15:44, 50:
When the dead rise, they will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven. ; it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body; I declare to you, brothers, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.
That angels are holy can be seen from reading in Deuteronomy 33:2:
He said: “The LORD came from Sinai and dawned over them from Seir; he shone forth from Mount Paran. He came with myriads of holy ones from the south, from his mountain slopes.
Yet, Genesis 6:1-2 tells us that they took for themselves as wives, the women of the earth at that time. How is it possible for there to be a union of fleshly creatures (women) and spirit creatures (angels)? Answer: By a transferral of the life force of the spirit creature into the womb of the fleshly creature.
In other words, these sons of the true God joined with the women in Noah’s day by transferring their life’s force into the wombs of women. In exactly the same manner in which Jesus’ mother Mary conceived him. So Mary was not the first. See the article entitled “Mary Was Not The First.”
So here we have an actual visitation by beings, not of the earth who joined with the women of the earth in Noah’s day.
This visitation was so extensive that this unholy union of these sons of the true God and women of the earth produced a race of giants called the Nephilim. The Nephilims wicked influence and control over humans were so extensive; and their corrupting influence over the earth so widespread, that God had to destroy the known world at that time by flood waters.
The miraculous birth of the Son of God – Jesus Christ – should also be counted as a visitation because it was the transference of the life’s force of a very powerful and chief angel in heaven into Mary’s womb that produced the son of man and the person many know as Jesus.
Matthew 1:20 says of Jesus’ birth:
But after he had thought these things over, look! Jehovah’s angel appeared to him in a dream, saying: “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary your wife home, for that which has been begotten in her is by holy spirit.
We know that God sent his only begotten Son. (John 3:16) From where? From heaven. Only angels live in heaven. So, in order for a human – who would come to be known as Jesus – to be produced, this Son of God (angel) in heaven had to transfer his life’s force into the womb of Mary.
In Noah’s day, the visitation of the true sons of God was not authorized as God did not send them. Scripture reports that those sons of the true God on their own initiative noticed the daughters of men and took for themselves all whom they chose.
Concerning Mary, it was Jehovah God who chose Mary and His only begotten Son to join.
A Future Visitation
Do the Scriptures speak of a future visitation from something not naturally of this world? Yes, it does.
In order to fully understand what and when and by whom this visitation will occur, one must come to grips with where we are in the stream of time – according to Scripture – right now.
It is popularly taught that we are currently existing in the Lord’s Day; and that we are in the Last Days. If you are one who believes this, then you will find it hard labor to accept what I am about to present. However, if you take courage and step out – even for a moment – the bubble of the belief system that you were taught, you will see it. As it is what the Scriptures really teach.
Are we in the Lord’s Day? According to Scripture, we are not.
I know that The Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society teach that the year 1914 was the year that the Gentile Times or Appointed Times of the Nations ended and the Lord’s Day began. That we have been in that day ever since. I personally know that many Jehovah’s Witnesses sincerely believe this 1914 date. In fact, almost all teachings of the organization hinge on the truthfulness of this date. It is fully understood why many of Jehovah’s Witnesses need to hold this date as truthful; because if it isn’t, what a devastating effect it will have on the Watch Tower organization and the faith of the members within it.
What do the Scriptures teach us concerning calculating and deriving of dates? Jesus says at Acts 1:7:
He said to them: “It does not belong to YOU to get knowledge of the times or seasons which the Father has placed in his own jurisdiction.
In harmony with what Acts 1:7 says, Jesus also says at Matthew 24:36:
Concerning that day and hour nobody knows, neither the angels of the heavens nor the Son, but only the Father.
So when it comes to deriving dates, it is only within Jehovah’s – not men or even Jesus’ – jurisdiction. Any human or human agency who arrogates itself to presume that it can step into a jurisdiction that is not its own in order to produce prophetic dates is displaying unfaithfulness to the Most High God.
In fact, to establish dates imitates the behavior of the evil slave in Jesus’ parable at Matthew Chapter 24:48-50:
But if ever that evil slave should say in his heart, ‘My master is delaying,’ and should start to beat his fellow slaves and should eat and drink with the confirmed drunkards, the master of that slave will come on a day that he does not expect and in an hour that he does not know.
It should be noted that the evil slave is the only one who says that his master is delaying. For this evil slave to believe that his master is delaying, implies that he was expecting him to return on a certain date, time, or season. The Watch Tower is on record and it is believed today, that the year 1914 is the date that Jesus’ presence occurred and that he is in kingly power. But did it?
What of the other slaves of the masters household in the parable? Were they expecting their master to return on a certain date? No, these faithful slaves understood what master told them that he would come to them in an hour that they do not know. Thus, the need for remaining faithful and watchful at all times.
I do not believe that the Watch Tower organization or its membership are insincere about the 1914 date. I believe that they – like all religion on earth – have been misled and have made a big mistake in involving themselves in the derivation of dates. A derived date has bitten the Watch Tower Organization in the past. What date was that? The year 1975.
It was believed that the year 1975 would bring the end of the world. Many Jehovah’s Witnesses fore-stalled receiving medical treatment, cashed in insurance policies, sold their possessions believing that at Jesus’ return, they would have relief. But when the year 1975 came and went, many Jehovah’s Witnesses were left devastated and their faith was shaken. Many left the Watch Tower Organization. The year 1975 is a date that the Watch Tower organization rarely speaks of and many Jehovah’s Witnesses (especially new members) are not aware of and do not talk about.
Yet, the year 1914 is a date that the Watch Tower Organization is wedded to.
I know that this 1914 date is making the Watch Tower Organization very nervous because that this1914 generation will by no means pass away until all these things occur. (Matthew 24:34)
What things? The things Jesus referred to as occurring when his sign is seen at Matthew 24:30-31. Jesus is not referring to the things seen as described from Matthew 24:3 to Matthew 24:13. Jesus is referring to the generation of men and women who will see his sign as mentioned at Matthew 24:30. That generation will not pass away.
That the Great Tribulation mentioned at Matthew 24:21 and Matthew 24:29 has not occurred yet and we are told that Jesus’ sign is seen after this event, means that we are not in the Lord’s Day.
It should be noted that what the Apostle John saw and wrote down was events occurring in the Lord’s Day.
If Jesus’ sign as mentioned at Matthew 24:30 signals the beginning of the Lord’s Day, then that means that the Lord’s Day and all of the events mentioned in The Book of Revelation have not had a start of fulfillment. That means that the Watch Tower Organization is wrong and every religion on earth that teaches Scripture is wrong. They are in the wrong time frame.
It also means that the beasts of Revelation, the war in heaven between Michael and his angels and the Dragon and his angels have not occurred yet. That Satan is still in heaven and has not been cast out means that he has not come down to us yet. This is still future.
Thus, an invasion upon the earth by this powerful creature is imminent.
This future visitation will be unseen to the human eye. Their visitation and presence on earth – never to re-enter heaven again – will only be discerned by the things Scripture says will occur in the earth at the ousting of the Great Dragon and his angels from heaven down to the earth as described in The Book of Revelation Chapter 12.
At present, the nations are doing their own thing. They have their own system of things set They have their own religious, commerce, political, military, and educational systems established. Thus, we are still in that period of time Scripture calls the “Appointed Times of the Nations.” It is not until Jesus’ sign is seen in heaven, that we enter into the time period called the Lord’s Day and the beginning of the things the Apostle John was privileged to see in The Book of Revelation and will start to have fulfillment.
One of those things will be a war in heaven between Michael (Jesus) and his angels and the Dragon and his angels. Revelation 12:7-9 reads:
And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels battled with the dragon, and the dragon and its angels battled but it did not prevail, neither was a place found for them any longer in heaven. So down the great dragon was hurled, the original serpent, the one called Devil and Satan, who is misleading the entire inhabited earth; he was hurled down to the earth, and his angels were hurled down with him.
So in the Lord’s Day, Satan the Devil and his angels are cast out of heaven by Michael, who is Jesus as King. It is in the Lord’s Day that the earth will be visited in a large and wonderous way.
Wonderous, how so?
It is easy to believe that when Satan and his angels are cast out of heaven down to the earth that bad things will happen on the earth. To the contrary, wonderous and seemingly beneficial works will occur on the planet.
Satan’s ousting from heaven brings with it the creation of a New World Order, the Book of Revelation calls The Beast. Satan gives this New World Order his power, his throne, and great authority over all of the earth.
And the dragon gave to the beast its power and its throne and great authority. (Revelation 13:2)
This New World Order will present itself as something beneficial for all of mankind and it will get the support of almost everyone on earth. It will even mislead most of Jehovah’s faithful servants as this New World Order will offer even them kingdoms (governorships) within it.
This New World Order will be a time of peace and security for all on the earth. It will be a system not easily given up. It will be loved and adored by the inhabitants of the earth. Yet, this New World Order is a system is a last desperate act by Satan to resist and fight that which he knows is coming: God’s Kingdom with Jesus at the helm.
The New World Order will be designed by Satan to condition all of the inhabitants of the earth to resist the approaching King and the Kingdom he brings in His Father’a name over the earth.
The inhabitants of the earth at that time will not – at first recognize – that they are being set up as unwitting soldiers of the Dragon. This will be hidden from them. None the less, the inhabitants of the earth will not want to give up the peaceful and secure conditions that the Dragon’s beast has made possible. Yet, 1 Thess 5:3 says:
Whenever it is that they are saying: “Peace and security!” then sudden destruction is to be instantly upon them just as the pang of distress upon a pregnant woman; and they will by no means escape.
It should be noted that a woman is seen pregnant at Revelation 12:1-2 and she is about to give birth. This is the birth of Christ’s kingdom. That she is about to give birth shows that it has been established yet, it is coming to the earth.
Put on the complete suit of armor from God that YOU may be able to stand firm against the machinations of the Devil; because we have a wrestling, not against blood and flesh, but against the governments, against the authorities, against the world rulers of this darkness, against the wicked spirit forces in the heavenly places.
The machinations of the Devil that we all will have to contend with in the distant future will be his New World Order and a spiritual battle. Our wrestling will not be against flesh and blood persons but against a New World Order and all that it will do in its power to win us over to it. It will have utmost authority to act in any manner that it chooses. Our weapons of resistance are not physical weapons nor are they offensive weapons. Our weapons of resistance are defensive. Notice that Ephesians mentions the complete suit of armor from God that will make it possible for one to resist the approaching of this Beast who will certainly come after Jesus’ faithful ones as special targets. Most of the world this Dragon will already have under its power. It is Jesus’ faithful servants who will prove to be a thorn to him. Sadly, Satan offers them the same thing he offered Jesus, kingdoms within his (The Dragon’s) kingdom (New World Order) and many of them will fall for it, perhaps thinking their master has delayed.
So, yes, there will be a future invasion of the earth.
The ousted Dragon and his angels will cause to rise up out of the sea of mankind a New World Order that will bring about the conditions that men have wanted for so long.
Unfortunately, it is a trick and a ploy to prepare the mindset of men and women to resist the promised incoming Kingdom of God. This spiritual resistance Jesus calls Armageddon.
