Reading The Bible

Does Knowing The Bible Mean You Know God and Christ?

No! It means you know the Bible and perhaps the interpretation of it according to one of the many contending so-called “Christian” organizations in the world.

For example, Christian organization “A” believes in The Rapture and that Jesus is God. Christian organization “B” does not. So which one is right? They both claim that it is what the Bible teaches!

I know people who can quote Bible verses verbatim and have them committed to memory. But they have very little application of them and they “appear” to be intelligent because they can memorize Bible verses.

It all simply means that they know the Bible, not God and Christ.

How Does One Come To Know God?

Not through a book! One can only come to have a knowledge of God through the only authorized channel, The Son of God. The one the world knows today as Jesus [the] Christ (Messiah). Of himself, Jesus says (not the Bible saying it) at John 14:6 …

I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Of Jesus, The Most High God says (not the Bible saying it) at Luke 9:35 …

A voice came from the cloud, saying, “This is my Son, whom I have chosen; listen to him.

No book is mentioned. And, those who argue, “Well, how else can we learn about God and Christ without the Bible?”

My response to them is, “Where is your faith in the invisible God and His invisible Son? Do you need a visible book to know them?”

Additionally, I would say to them, “How did men and women come to know about God and Christ when there was no such thing as a Bible?” For more than 1500 years there was no such book. The first “Bible” (one copy) emerged out of the Dark Ages some 1500 years after Christ ascended!

Jesus tells us how God is to be viewed, approached and worshiped. At John 4:23-24 Jesus says (the Bible does not say it) …

Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.

God is a spirit. A spirit cannot be seen. (Col 1:15)

Jesus says that he is the “the truth.” (John 14:6)

The only way God can be accessed and learned about is through Jesus [the] Christ (Messiah} who is now invisible himself and who resides in heaven alongside his Father. No book by any name is that way or channel.

How Does One Come To Know Christ?

The Most High God answers this question for us at Luke 9:35. He says (do not credit the Bible with saying it, God says it) …

A voice came from the cloud, saying, “This is my Son, whom I have chosen; listen to him.

We listen to Christ. We listen to what he teaches and tells us. Because he is no longer with us in the flesh is no excuse to assume that he is unable to teach us. Did he not send his disciples Holy Spirit (as he promised he would) on the Day of Pentecost in Acts Chapter 2? He did not send them a book!

The world has deviated from the path and follows a book. It does not see Christ in a spiritual way so as to follow him spiritually. They place a book in from of them and think because it mentions Christ it is the light to their pathway to God. Though many will not admit that this is what is happening, in practice, it is.

We come to know Christ by obeying God’s command to “listen” to him.

No one of importance. A disciple (student) of Christ apart from the established religious systems who reasons, thinks and concludes matters for myself. Something is not right with the state of religion in the world. The real dichotomy is that we live in a world so full of religion, yet is an evil, immoral, and dangerous place to live. A mental and spiritual separation from this world that Jesus said his kingdom is no part of is the first step to a "break-through" to freedom and entry into a much larger spiritual world where God and Christ resides and the wisdom, knowledge, and understanding of God can be accessed.

  1. Hearing the voice of Elohim is difficult in these last days, fact is hearing the voice of Elohim today one has to practice discernment for haSatan protrays himself as an angel of light as well as his subjects so the voice one hears has to be judged by some standard to determine if it is indeed from Elohim or from the adversay or one of his minions.
That standard is the scriptures, If the voice one hears is stating something contray to the written word then one has to reject that voice.
You know this verse as well as I, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17
If we did not pay attention to the actual written word or scripture then we could not know what Saul or Paul meant when he said, “Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman.” Galatians 4:30
Elohim told Moses to write a book, “And the LORD said unto Moses, Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua: for I will utterly put out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven.”
    Exodus 17:14
“And he took the book of the covenant, and read in the audience of the people: and they said, All that the LORD hath said will we do, and be obedient.” Exodus 24:7
We get our preception of Elohim, what he likes and dislikes, how he wants to be worshiped and how he does not want to be worshiped by reading his book the scriptures.

    1. I do not accept that the “Bible” is the Most High God’s book. Men say this. I believe that He dispatched a Messiah into the world and that Messiah was – and still is – His mouthpiece or spokesman. Though no longer with us, he can be listened to. Not through books or religious organizations. Those things close up the mind. It is just as that Messiah had taught, by asking “The Father” via prayer through the “office of that Messiahs name or reputation” for wisdom, understanding, and knowledge. No books. This is much greater than what appears on the printed page, this is a spiritual level beyond what must can comprehend. God is not pleased and cannot be worshiped by the things we can see, such as words in a book or religious organizations. (that is where Satan wants us to be). The God I worship is invisible and he must be worshiped in a spiritual way, without use of ritual, books, religious organizations, etc. I have one Teacher who is also invisible and he is not a man (neither a White or Black man). He too is a spirit being like his Father. Sadly, 99.0% of the world think they know him and his teaching. They have no clue. Satan has them worshiping a “false Christ” and even one in the form of a White man. That “false Christ” that is in front of them is pointing them in a direction that does not lead to the Father, our Creator.
