Does God Have Other Modern-Day Spokesmen?

What I am about to write should not be rocket-science for any claiming to be followers of Christ. The person many know today by name and title as Jesus [the] Christ is The Word of God. Most will not deny this. In fact at Revelation 19:13 we read the following:

He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God.

John 1:1 shows this same one with his Father in the beginning.

I have had many exchanges with Trinitarians and have been able to show many of them that the idea of three Gods in one God is not something Christ taught and nor was it something ever believed by Israel. Yet, there are many today – who also do not believe in the Trinity teaching – who believe something similar to the Trinity teaching. What is that?

They stand up next to The Son of God (Jesus [the] Christ), other entities and make them the same as he. In other words, they make these other entities “The Word of God.” Common sense should prompt them to think that if there is only one God, then that one God has one voice (His own); and if he sent one into the world of mankind as His spokesman or mouthpiece, he would be only one: The Word of God.

Yet, there are those who insist on making other entities “God’s Mouthpiece” or Word. Who or what?

Charles Taze Russell

The following is an excerpt from a reply I received from a gentleman who felt I was judging him because I stood fast on the belief that no man or other entity can be God’s Mouthpiece other than the one God Himself selected and chose to be that Mouthpiece: His only begotten Son, Christ Jesus. The individual stated:

Russell did indeed believe that he was a mouthpiece for God; additionally, he said that all Christians are mouthpieces for God.

Those who know me and my writings know that your judgment of me is not true. I do believe that God used Russell to bring forth many truths out of the storehouse, the Bible. I believe, as he did, that every true Christian should be a mouthpiece for God, in telling others about Jesus and his God, and what they have done for mankind.

There are several problems here: What is a “True Christian?” Did Jesus ever use this expression? Jesus never used the expression, Christian.  Or, was it made up by persons within religious organizations to really say that you are a “True Christian” only if you agree with them and follow what they teach. In other words, ANYONE can define THEMSELVES as a “True Christian” regardless of what the other denominations say or think about them. It is subjective. I fully know that Jehovah’s Witnesses and the Bible Students refer to themselves as True Christians and everyone else is false. People have become clever and adept at creating celebrated names for themselves for the purpose of setting themselves apart as true and all others as false. It is a very convenient thing they all do.

The second problem is that Jesus never told anyone to be called Christians. Never do we see the Son of God referring to himself as such; never do we see him referring to his disciples as such, and never do we see his disciples referring to themselves as such. It is an expression that the European man decided those who would be disciples of Christ would call themselves. Someone other than Christ decided for the whole world and the whole world is expected to subscribe to it.

I have had many many persons of European descent (and also persons of African descent who have been Europeanized) really come down heavily on me about what I just said about the expressions Christian and Christians being something they created and pushed on the world, not Christ. They cry and call me racist and childish. What all of that stuff from them is, is a refusal to accept the truth about it and an aggressive desire for it to be accepted without question or challenge. But they call me racist. I tell you what? Google “Jesus, Adam and Eve, Angels, Noah, Moses, God, etc” and click on the images button and tell me what you see. Watch the old and new “Biblical” movies and in whose likeness is Jesus, Moses, etc are portrayed in? In art and literature, whose likeness do you see? It would be one thing if I were not speaking the truth. But I speak the truth and it is easily verified. The problem is that those who perpetrate the lies do not want to hear it and have what they have been pushing upset. They would rather allow things to lyingly continue than have these things exposed and spoken of.  Their preference is for deceit and misleading rather than the truth. It is for that reason that religious organization serves a strong intoxicating spiritual drink to keep its membership spiritually drunk so that they are not sober to ask sobering questions or be of a clear mind to see what has been happening before their blurred vision.  It is an odd thing in this world where the truth is not to be spoken.

There is much more than opening the eyes of those literally blind. There is an opening up of the mind so as to see clearly. Matthew 8:23-26 reads as follows:

And he took the blind man by the hand, brought him outside the village, and, having spit upon his eyes, he laid his hands upon him and began to ask him: “Do you see anything?” And the man looked up and began saying: “I see men, because I observe what seem to be trees, but they are walking about.” Then he laid his hands again upon the man’s eyes, and the man saw clearly, and he was restored, and he was seeing everything distinctly. So he sent him off home, saying: “But do not enter into the village.

The problem today is that so many … so many are being spat upon and touched by religious organizations claiming to be of Christ – instead of Christ – and those organizational teachings are not restoring the blind but making persons blinder. Once one’s eyes are opened by Christ, one should reject all religious organization and cling to the person of Christ and NOT enter into another religious organization (village).

Yet, when I write about these things, many cry out that I am racist! Are you kidding me? That is so cowardly. The bottom line is that you do not want to be questioned as to why these things are so.

The International Bible Students Association (and at one point in time, The Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society), believe founder Charles Taze Russell as God’s mouthpiece. Charles Taze Russell himself believed he was sent by God as that mouthpiece. A mouthpiece is something that speaks for God. No human can speak for God or be His Word as God has not chosen anyone ever that exclusive privilege or title but one: Jesus [the] Christ.

True, the Prophets of old spoke as God directed them to, but none of them were chosen and authorized as The Word of God.

Those Prophets of old are dead and buried. God sent the world someone out of the heavenly realm to us. That one is exclusively The Word of God. No human then or now is God’s mouthpiece. We are to be disciples of Christ. Disciples are students with a Teacher: Christ.

It is Christ who is God’s Mouthpiece, Spokesman, or Word of God and we are to listen to him. Even Jesus himself said that we are to make disciples based on what he taught us. We are not speaking for God, Christ is.

It is the European man who is arrogant. He instituted this false mentality in many and it is very difficult to humble him before God. The idea of a man coming along claiming himself as God’s mouthpiece is in fulfillment of prophecy concerning the many false prophets that would arise. Matthew 24:4-5.

Charles Taze Russell, a man of Scottish ancestry, surrounded himself with people of the same color. I have yet to find photographs of him with Black persons or even in association with them. Yet, persons want me to believe that God would send him ONLY to White people. I am sorry, I do not buy that and you can cry “childish” all you want I am not budging. God does not play favorites. Even the organizations that sprang from Russell: The International Bible Students Association and the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society are an exclusive White-man’s club at the top leadership and has remained that way since their foundings.

I simply do not care about all of the attacks against me – a Black man – speaking truthfully in this manner. Some one has to. Many of European-descent either do not think us intelligent or capable of thinking – Charles Taze Russel was such as man – or they want us to think and reason as THEY do.

To them, it is perfectly OK to portray Adam, Eve, Angels, Jesus, God, etc in the likeness of the European in art, film, literature and “Bible.” To them, it is perfectly OK to EXPECT the world to subscribe to such portrayals without questions or challenges. They are selfish and do not think that there are people of color who would otherwise become followers of Christ but do not because they see EVERYTHING portrayed in the likeness of ONE exclusive race among the human family. Yet, THEY think those who do not follow Christ (through their lead) because of these portrayals are the ones who have the problem.

The Bible

Not only has men of the likes of Charles Taze Russell have been elevated to the lofty position as God’s Mouthpiece or God’s Word, so has a book! Again, who had his hand in creating this book? Persons of European descent. He has arrogated himself to give it the name he chose for this book: The Bible; he authorized it; he calls it holy; he calls it Scripture; and, he has duped the entire world into believing that it itself is ALSO the Word of God.

Another Trinity

Another Trinity has been created by this man of lawlessness. He calls Jesus the Word of God; he calls men such as Charles Taze Russell God’s Mouthpiece (Word of God); and he calls a book that he makes himself a student of – The Bible – the Word of God.

What is really strange – but not surprising – is that the International Bible Students and the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society and intelligently articulate that there is no God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit. Yet, they are absolutely blind when it comes to the “Trinity” or Duality they have established when they stand next to Jesus [the] Christ other entities bearing the title Word of God.

So, does God have modern-day spokesmen? No! To believe that He does is equivalent to saying that He did not send His Son and His Son is NOT The Word of God. It gives excuse NOT to listen to the one The Most High God said one should listen to: His Son, the one that He chose. Luke 9:35:

And a voice came out of the cloud, saying: “This is my Son, the one that has been chosen. Listen to him.

You Are Crazy and Misled

This is such a convenient expression to use towards someone when a nerve has been struck. I invite persons who are sincere followers and champions of Christ’s teachings (apart from the influence and prejudice of religious organizations) to look very closely at some of the replies and noticed a common denominator in most of them: Attack on the person rather than dealing with the subject matter. What this tells me is that these persons have become agitated. When Jesus was in the presence of demon possessed persons, the demons became agitated. Here there is a lashing out. If Christ’s teachings really took root, no disciple of his would engage in such a thing. But the religious system called by men – Christianity – teaches the uncontrolled use of the tongue. It does not like being disagreed with. It thinks itself a queen and above question and challenge.

Christianity does not want you to think for yourself, it wants you to accept what it says without question. It wants to make you an emotional drunkard which dims the mind. It wants you Kindergarten-level.

If it cannot ensnare you and you chose to speak of them as the impostor Christ foretold would come truthfully acknowledging him as the Christ, but misleading many, you will find they will be on the personal attack. This is how they are able to distract persons away from the true subject matter.

By placing a foul stench upon you and making you the subject and keeping the focus on you, the questions and challenges against them are not answered.

And, when they give an answer it is rarely what you asked them and they change the subject and it goes personal from there.

Listen to Christ and do not let anyone sway you to disobey God in listening to men as His mouthpiece instead of His Son. (Luke 9:35)

God did not choose them, they chose themselves.

Blacks, Asians, Hispanics, Arabs, etc rarely have that convenience in choosing or claiming themselves anything. White people chose to be whatever THEY chose to be. One such man – Charles Taze Russell – chose to be God’s Mouthpiece, Gods Word.

These very ones arrogate themselves to tell everyone else who they are but do not like it when you – a single guy like me – tell them who they are not. In the case of Charles Taze Russell, who he is not as well.

It is like David up against a giant.

I know all of your tactics and tricks and I intend to let others know that you ALL (Christianity) are impostors and you have no intention of bringing persons before Christ. You seek to be persons before you and the men you make your teachers and the organizations your wealth has built and continue to build. Yet, Jesus [the] Christ was poor and nothing like you.

R. Jerome Harris

No one of importance. A disciple (student) of Christ apart from the established religious systems who reasons, thinks and concludes matters for myself. Something is not right with the state of religion in the world. The real dichotomy is that we live in a world so full of religion, yet is an evil, immoral, and dangerous place to live. A mental and spiritual separation from this world that Jesus said his kingdom is no part of is the first step to a "break-through" to freedom and entry into a much larger spiritual world where God and Christ resides and the wisdom, knowledge, and understanding of God can be accessed.

  1. Wow, okay… I will start with what you got right. The word trinity is not even biblical and Jesus did not use the word christian either. However, christian and the trinity are just words to explain something. A lot of people beleive they are christians or followers of christ but they don't actually follow his teachings which makes them not true christians because the definition of christian is christ follower (basically) it is not something you claim it is something you are or aren't. So a false christian is not a christian at all. Jerome, I will say as I have before you are a christian according to your claims. The word christian did not exist while Jesus lived it was made by people to identify a follower of his teachings. So just because jesus didn't invent it does not make it an unworthy name to call his followers.

The word trinity came about the same way as christian did and pretty much any known word in any language used today. It is a very confusing term and I don't think it is even necessary to overthink but here we go. You said there is only one God and you are correct. Jesus was a man but many consider him a part of God or can even say God's son. Doesn't make much difference. Sent by God, is God, or God's word etc. doesn't matter; his words are God's words and that is foundational I think. Holy spirit is obscure as far as I know and not much insight can be given on that point by me. Trinity or not God is still God and the only God. The trinity does not mean 3 Gods, it means God in three persons or something like that. Doesn't matter. Hating on a word so religiously is kind of silly. Maybe it is more the religious system you actually hate not christianity itself. Even many christians beleive that religion is a bad thing and has caused some terrible things. The church is not a building, christianity(practice of following Jesus) is not a religious system. The church is supposed to be a group of christians working together to further God's kingdom and christianity is simply a relationship with God.

Your opinions on these things are not as concerning to me as your paragraph here:

    You Are Crazy and Misled

This is such a convenient expression to use towards someone when a nerve has been struck. I invite persons who are sincere followers and champions of Christs teachings (apart of the influence and prejudice of religious organizations) to look very closely at some of the replies and note common denominator in most of them: Attack on the person rather than dealing with the subject matter. What this tells me is that these persons have become agitated. When Jesus was in the presence of demon possessed persons, the demons became agitated. Here there is a lashing out. I have been agitated at some of your responceds and have had an emotional and upsetting responce to some things you have said. So by your reasoning I am demon possessed. I think however, my agitation is more of how disturbing some of the things you say are. I am afraid that I will be sucked in by the lies you beleive. I have said myself you are misguided and I still beleive that to be true. You make so many good points and truths but the best of lies contain truth. Matthew 7:16  you try to destroy the church and separate the followers of Jesus; you say the people who oppose you are demon posessed; you demean the bible. What fruits are you bearing with all this? Are you bringing wisdom or confusion? Rightousness or lawlessness? It seems to me you are just upsetting a lot of people and for anyone to get the actual good points you make they need to filter through all the poison. What makes anything you say fruitful at all?

You give examples of Cults and evildoers who claim christianity but really aren't. There are many churches and christians out there who do not match your discription of us. No christian or church is not flawed in some way but that is the sin nature of humans. Again it is not the church who should be your enemies. The individual people who do not sincerely follow christ and are apart from God are not our enemies either. They are our brothers who we should be compassionate and loving towards as Christ was himself. Jesus came to save the sinners and that bunches us all in as one. Our sin is our enemy and we must fight that above all.

I may be upset by what you say sometimes. You are human, what people say can upset you too. Nobody wants to be called crazy or mislead but we all are more or less. I know my grammar is terrible and what I write might even be jumbled and I certainly am not a mouthpeice of God in anyway Jesus is but I certainly try and have a relationship with Jesus and I think sometimes God uses average and normal people to his work and help each other understand Jesus' teachings. That is the purpose of fellowship and I think you could find it easy to agree that he doesn't want us fighting but instead united.

Side note: I have been thinking of looking into home churches. It would be similar to how christians gather when under persecution. There is little to no money spent on a silly building, not really even a proffessional pastor in many cases. Just a group of people who want to learn about God, live for God, worship God, praise God, and help each other out. I think they can potentially be at least as fruitful as any mega church. In a way it's unfortunate we don't have much persecution or things to challange our Faith as other times and places.

    1. I do not summarily brush off use of “trinity” or “christian” as a “just words to EXPLAIN” something. They are much more than that: Many people believe in the idea (teaching) of trinity AND they accept as TRUE ths title of “Christian” that they have taken upon themselves. While I disagree, I respect that people have such beliefs.

Too, I am aware that many people believe that they are Christians but do not follow his teachings.

However, there is no such thing as a “Christian” and their is no such thing as a “True Christian or False Christian” These are assumptions made by men and these are some of the things I question and challenge. Thus, a reason for e-Prophetic.com. Either one is a disciple of Christ or they are not. And, it is Christ who determines whether one “has been” his disciple. (Matthew 7:21-23)

It is not we ourselves who do the choosing. Christ knows his sheep.

Never, did Christ tell his followers to ne known as Christians. Never did Christ take that title for himself. Never did he refer to his followers by that title, and never to we see anywhere where his followers called each other by such a title.

One would think somewhere during Christs 3 plus years ministry this would have been known. Whereas, the fact of the matter is that Christ called us to simply be his disciples (taught by him) and he – obviously – our Teacher. His command was for his “disciples” to teach others what he taught them and assist those persons to becoming his disciples. (John 8:31-32, Matthew 28:19-20)

He did not command anyone to go out and make “Christians.” That part is from men.

I do not subscribe to the fancy titles men create – Christians, Born Again Christian, Mormon, Seventh Day Adventist, Catholic, Lutheran, Jehovah’s Witnesses, etc and want me to accept.

I MUST obey my God and the God of my Master and listen to my Master. (Luke 9:35)

I would like to correct you in a statement/assumption you made concerning me. You said, “Maybe it is more the religious system you actually hate not christianity itself.”

At least you said “Maybe.” I do not “hate” period. Many persons assume when another says something contrary to what they believe, it is hate. Out of all of the words in the dictionary, that is the word they use.

      With me, it is “concern.”

When Jesus was sent to the Jews and came in among them, a religious system was in place: The Jewish Religious system. That system had a tight hold on the Jews. Yet, Jesus did not HATE it. He was concerned with what it was doing to the people under which it held a heavy yoke.

Jesus, in speaking to the crowds and the Pharisees and Scribes, exposed the hypocrisy of the Jewish Religious Leaders and offered relief to the people within it to “come out” of it and follow him.

I am not hating “Christianity” or any religious system as that would be a waste of time and energy. I write with a view to show that “they” (Christianity and all religious systems) are Pharisaical, controlling, hypocritical, and opposers of God’s sent one.

I am harder on the religious system – called by men Christianity – because it claims to be of God and Christ yet has not acted as such.

It demands loyalty to ITSELF rather than directing persons to be loyal to Christ and his teachings. You must see this, do you not?

Each person belonging to his/her respective “Christian” religious organization or church claim to be right and true, yet believe differently from one another. These diverse beliefs are NOT from Christ, but from the diverse so-called “Christian” religious organizations that “collectively” make up the bulk religious system called by men, Christianity. Each one tells the other that they are wrong and the other is right. They are all wrong because Christ did not establish this monstrosity that has left people confused and fighting among themselves as to who has the truth.

Yet, so many walk about as if this is not the case.

What I know stands firm and mighty is a person who IS THE TRUTH and that person is The Son of God, Christ. He is “The Word of God.” One does not have to be a rocket scientist to learn – if they desire it – to listen to the one who is the truth.

The truth is that he never told anyone to be called “Christians.” This “added” expression men ran with and now it has spread throughout the globe like a cancer attaching itself to persons. All in opposition to what Christ taught.

Then persons take such an expression and they create spin-offs from it such as false Christians, true Christians, born-again Christians, etc.

I think mosty people to not speak forthcomingly when they say what I write “Are not as concerning” to them. I know what I write agitates many. I am also intelligent enough to know that when persons add extra stuff in their comments, it is really a taking of “personal” jabs. This too, I am accustomed to and even expect.

Apparently, what I have written DOES bother you, else you would not have taken all of the time cut and paste something I have written.

You must know that I am not going to stop writing as I have been because other do not like what I have to say. Would you?

I have received countless emails from persons thanking me for having the courage to write in this manner. Many REALLY appreciate the eye-openers that “Christ Teachings Matter” far more than a religious systems teachings.

Quite a few are now asking “good” questions “out of love and concern” as to why Christ never called himself a Christian, why he never called his followers Christians, and why his followers never called each other by that title.

My readers also wonder why the religious system called by men, Christianity, avoids such questions and want persons “not to worry about it.”

Quite a few of my readers have told me – while they still attend their respective churches – they know something is wrong because of the seeds they have picked up on this website. Something inside gnaws at them; namely, they know “Christ never taught many of the things that they are hearing.”

I appreciate your reply but must continue as I have been.

If what I write is not the truth, then God will overthrow it. But if it is the truth, there is nothing anyone can to about it. This is Scriptural at Acts 5:35-40:

“Then he addressed the Sanhedrin: “Men of Israel, consider carefully what you intend to do to these men. Some time ago Theudas appeared, claiming to be somebody, and about four hundred men rallied to him. He was killed, all his followers were dispersed, and it all came to nothing. After him, Judas the Galilean appeared in the days of the census and led a band of people in revolt. He too was killed, and all his followers were scattered. Therefore, in the present case I advise you: Leave these men alone! Let them go! For if their purpose or activity is of human origin, it will fail. But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop these men; you will only find yourselves fighting against God.”

Let God and Christ be the judge of all of us.

  2. Some of my responces to your article have been immature and uncontrolled. You were right. I did try and attack you and even wanted you to stop writing. I didn't think that would actually happen though. You weren't really saying I was demon possessed I don't think but definitly gave a good example of how I was acting. Influenced by evil maybe. I won't fight your ideas on the trinity or christianity even though I'm not sure I fully agree. I do agree there are issues there for sure tho. Definitly not much difference between the old religious jewish system then and generally any other religious system now. Again, you are right. One point I'd like to bring up is: What is the difference between disciple and christian? The meaning seems fairly similar but one is tied to a religious system and one is not. Maybe I just answered my own christians. You're definitly not my enemy like I thought and I will add another thank you for your writings. Definitly eye-openers in there.
